I painted on a mixed media canson 300gsm sketchbook. For the sunflower petals you don't need to wet the paper first, but I had a damp brush to paint with the ink. But for the centre of the sunflower I did wet the page first. This helps to make a softer effect to let the ink bleed. I hope this was helpful :)

Oh I don't actually know which brand this sketchbook was because I bought it from my school shop, possibly off brand. But there are plenty of watercolor sketchbook brands, as long as its at least 280gsm paper weight, it should be suitable. The paper in this video was smooth. I find that it's best to shop for new sketchbooks in person so you can feel the texture of the paper. Once you find a brand and paper weight you like you can note down the details and buy it online, hope that makes sense

I personally use the brush pen to colour in as it has a thicker brush tip, so it is quicker and easier to colour in than the fine tip end. But you can use both for drawing

Hello! Thank you for your comment. Yes, I do think acrylic is easier to control and you can work with it a lot faster. It doesn't take as long to try in my experience and you can do a lot more in one layer. I'll probably do a video comparing both at some point, as there's things I like about watercolors that you can't get with acrylic :)
