Hello I’m Carly and I am a puppy & dog trainer in Safety Bay WA!
I am a reward based trainer, who believes in training your dog or puppy for real life. By focusing on life skills like recall, walking calmly on lead and being able to settle, you will have a dog you can take everywhere. That’s what you want right? A dog who is a legend to live with plus you can take him to the local cafe without any dramas!
Training should be as much fun for both the human and canine parts of the team and I wholeheartedly believe that!
If that tail ain’t wagging then i’m doing something wrong.
It is so important that dogs, get the training they need to simply slot perfectly into their families real life. Supporting them to become an Awesome Pupper! I understand that every family is unique, and what Awesome looks like to one family is different to another… there’s no one training plan thats fits all!

Random question. Saw you were a dog trainer and wanted to ask how to make my dog eat. Took him to the vet they said he was fine, but he doesn’t want to eat. He eats treats but not his actual food. Got any tips???

Your “ puppy” is so calm! I give cardboard boxes to our 6 mth old lab to shred before I put them in the recycle bin. I figure it’s a way he can “ earn” his keep lol. Wow imagine if I could train him to pick up the shredded bits and put in the bin lol.
Hiya,, Thanks for these ideas to try, I heard you on the radio this morning and want to learn more so I have subscribed. You and your pups are a real inspiration. They make it look so easy and fun. We have a 6 mth old Lab who likes to put his mouth (and teeth) on our hands and gets very excited. How do we teach him to bump with his nose and keep his teeth to himself and how do we signal end of game and treats?
Sarah Spicer Thank you! If he gets really excited, you have a couple options, try starting the game when he’s calmer, so after a walk perhaps, so you have less grabbing behaviour and only then reward the ones where he doesn’t use his teeth. I use the work “finished” and show him empty hands when I’m finished training (like a magician 🤗)
