Jesus says to love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. Please apply Jesus's words before accusing an athlete of being a man with circumstantial evidence or wishing to stop the protection of your neighbors civil rights due to their sexual orientation. My son's classmate has 2 capable loving Dads who raise a child with special needs. They helped my family when a medical emergency struck. I cannot agree with Micah's arguments because I chose to apply Jesus's words and love their family as I love my own.

we just take for granted that Christianity justifies conservative politics. I didn’t hear any explanation of that in your interview. Are you not aware that Jesus can call on His Father, and He will at once put at His disposal more than twelve legions of angels? I’ve never had the impression that Jesus wants us to defeat the D’s-well not since I’ve been reading the Bible lol. Quite the opposite actually. His Kingdom is in Heaven To the extent that the entire R political project is based on “Christianity,” I haven’t seen that in the Bible tbh

Also a fellow Hoosier here. The most important thing you can know about jesus is that he was not the Messiah that the Hebrew Old Testament is talking about. It's not even close. There is another Hoosier named Greg McBride from Highland Indiana. I would recommend having him as a guest. Shocking information, all sourced directly from The Bible.

Informative interview. Really enjoyed it. I enjoyed voting in the convention too. From my preview, Julie McGuire had a LOT of money poured into her campaign when when ran against John Jacob in the House Race. John Jacob was the strongest voice for medical liberty and it was obvious that RINOs backed Julie McGuire to get rid of John Jacob. For Lt. Governor there were some old timers in my county that were upset that Braun would choose someone from the Indianapolis hub instead of a man like Beckwith who has real experience outside of Indianapolis. Republican and Conservative functions in Rural Fayette county has seen more of Beckwith than Braun. It is time that Republicans take a page out of the Democrats play book. Democrats always look for ways to take over a process and control the outcome through the process. It is time that Republicans take charge of processes for platform issues. Julie Cox

I have really appreciated your interviews with Jamie and Max these past two weeks. I was not familiar with Max and did not vote for him. I only knew of the work of Victoria Spartz and thought her to be a fighter. With all the candidates on the ticket I did not have the faintest idea who they were or what they stood for and thought they needed to be out knocking on doors! The only info on the candidates that we received was the hate mail that bombarded our mailbox. It takes time to get to know the candidates and I don't think it's all my responsibility to do that. It is theirs too! If I knew there were candidates like Max I would get behind him, praying and supporting him and leave the end result to the sovereignty of God.

Thank you for interviewing Max. I had no idea he had any experience in DC. I wish I had known that. I live in District 5, watched the debate, and ultimately voted for Goodrich after a lot of consideration. There were so many candidates to choose from! Goodrich didn't stand out in the debate to me as much as Max did, BUT Goodrich has experience as a legislator with a decent voting record. That matters a lot--much more than the junk mail. (Nobody knocked on my door, of course.) Max was a contender, but I am wary of politicians, especially polished ones, that say one thing on TV to get elected but will likely do the opposite in DC. I have never met Max, so I don't have anything else to go by, but frankly this interview came off that way when you brought up Mike Johnson. It's easy to say things like "holding leaders accountable" but offer no meaningful way to do that in DC besides from finger wagging. Say what you want about Matt Gaetz, but he's a principled and bold patriot.

I am shocked how many people took you as a serious candidate. And now you are running LG as an Independent. And Paige Miller as governor who thinks the "Science of Reading " is a good program. Which is a an absolute disaster kids need to be taught phonics.

I love that she spoke up to the moderator when he was out of line. Only republican moderators should mediate republican debates as democrats run the democrat debates.

Thank you Micah for keeping us updated on what is happening in the General Assembly. Dave and I visited the Statehouse a few years back with a group from our church, led by then Karen Davis, a previous assistant to Becky Skillman. So when you talk about the "readings" and then the "roll call" taken we know what you are talking about! I would encourage folks to make a visit to the Statehouse and see the working of our state's elected officials as well as seeing the special interest groups waiting to make their opinions known. We also support the work of Public Servant's Prayer at the Statehouse. Both Matt and Pam are true supporters of the men and women who represent us at the Statehouse.

I am glad HB1355 didn't gain any traction. Especially since it has a 5 million dollar price tag. My personal opinion is if you're going to have a child you need to be responsible for that child and a plan in advance for your expenses. The average Hoosier should not have to take on any extra expenses to raise somebody else's child. We are already take on way more than we should with schools and free lunches etcetera.
