Wow, the opinions on '94 Crow is way off. The movie did considerably well . Keep in mind comic book movies were still an iffy proposition and The Crow made it possible to take the genre seriously. It was the right mix of vision, presentation and adaptation. Did Brandon Lee's death contribute to it's success? maybe but it would have a had an even larger following if he didnt die, his career was trending upwards and would have marked it as his star making role. To me Brandon would have been on equal footing as Keanu Reeves who's career was also about to skyrocket with Speed. "For its time" my ass, it's still a good movie right now and holds up perfectly fine, especially with the dreck that has been coming out over the past few years. I'm not rooting against the new movie, i want it to be good; hopefully it sets a bar that the original did back then.
