How the fuck has this no comments or interests. I’m studying mechanical engineering just to get rid of this stigma around architecture. He is correct Vitruvius insisted on architects having knowledge in many fields. The main one being Geometry and mathematics. People tend to overlook, that most great ‘Architects’ were truly master ‘Engineers’ and ‘Psychologists’ first before the implanted their ‘Art’ to marry the two. I believe this the true journey of an architect. They are meant to over look all aspects of life. Architecture in the modern world has been diluted and simplified unnecessarily. Architects now should be called static artists. True Architects (like Vitruvius a master engineer[A true polymath]) do not exist, for now. This way of thinking is lost. Until we begin to think like our ancestors. We WILL stay lost. Understand the art of science, then understand the science of art. 😐

Me ha encantado el vídeo. Un par de dudas acerca de la tabla comparativa. La cal es corrosiva con el metal se refiere? Y el yeso aguanta más a compresión, pensaba que era la cal?

My interesante. Ojala que se comienzen a valorar los enlucidos de argamaza de cal aerea que todavia quedan. En la comunidad de Aragon se estan destruyendo muchas fachadas de antiguos edificios con sus fachadas enlucidas con mortero de cal aerea y yeso lo que aisla del frio y calor , pero lamentablemente los Aragoneses se han obsecionado con picar fachadas para luego rejuntar las piedras con cemento blanco. Cemento que no respira y es demaciado duro y nada flexible, un verdadero desastre ademas de la cuestionable estetica

Lovely approach - Should draw sections to show how parking works and also give a sense of cost of structured parking as most developers want cheap parking and will sacrifice beautiful public realm to get it. In addition it would be nice to see how landscape works as an ecological urban layer as related to handling of stormwater. A sunlight and wind analysis would be nice.

Grande Salvador Gomis, gracias a tu inconformismo y al de unos pocos no se ha perdido del todo estos sistemas de construcción antigua. Yo a mis 54 años quedé cautivado hace unos tres años con este sistema,llevando mas de 30 años en la construcción. Es por ello que tengo el reto ahora de rehabilitar una casa de 1940 con techos abovedados y escaleras con el mismo sistema. Saludos!!!
