11/5/24 the end of my soft water sailing season, time to get the ice boats ready!! normal years I can find some local ice for iceboating, we will have to see what this year brings, it has been a very warm fall!!

In neighboring MI I took a snowmobiling safety course, it was said that in 1971 there was 71 different sled manufacturers. Private That is.

I saw the thumbnail for the video and got serious deja vu. This is VERY similar to the first boat my dad had. The light on the bow, the windshield that folds over. Not the same model but definitely from the same time period. Absolutely ridiculous how clean that interior is....someone must have NEVER used that boat and kept her indoors or covered
I want a hobie so bad. Where does one get a 21? Getaway 17 is biggest I've seen.....
Not sure where you're located but here in Minnesota use getaways are hard to come by usually range around $6,000 if you can find one
There is a Hobie 21 SE which is quite a bit more about than a getaway available locally here more like for 4,000

My neighbor who was an underwater welder and was working on the Bay bridge asked the workers why there were a bunch of telephone poles on ground below. They laughed and said it was sturgeons. They were 15 to 20 feet in length.

Nope, It lives full time on Otter Tail Lake here in Minnesota (as do I ;)
