My music, art and sometimes thoughts
Forest Bathing (edit)
Sup, so I haven't really been doing a lot of composing recently as I've been thinking a lot about the channel and career stuff (sorry about that but I think it's important in the long run). Part of my thinking is to cut down on the longer form content for now so this is just a shorter version of Forest Bathing (messed about with the visuals a bit too as I'm sure you can tell XD) and I'm gonna be uploading a shorter version of Stranded (and possibly Scorched Earth) sometime as well.
I will get this sorted. Thank you for your patience.

Panis Angelicus (underwater version)
มุมมอง 7614 วันที่ผ่านมา
Sup, So here's another one of the underwater arrangements (for lack of a better term). They are created by generating white noise and using a focused band-pass EQ to pick out the frequencies/pitches of the piece. I like the effect, it's quite ethereal but also relaxing so it's nice to explore its expressive capabilities by arranging different pieces. Credit to Cesar Franck for this one haha. En...
Scorched Earth
มุมมอง 102หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey all, so this is another piece using the Zero-G - Balancing Act sample. However, whereas Stranded used only lower frequencies, this piece uses upper transpositions of the sample. This gave the piece a lot more textural variety and for me the result evoked a desert-like soundscape. Also, since this piece is more expansive, I tried to be more inventive, varied with the visuals. Visuals (edited...
Stranded (dark ambient music)
มุมมอง 60หลายเดือนก่อน
So I've been messing around with time-stretching software lately and when I used it on this sample called Balancing Act from Zero-G Altered States I thought it sounded very atmospheric. I've got a few ideas for pieces and this is the first one. Visual (Godfather 2 vibes anyone? XD): www.pexels.com/photo/silhouette-of-boat-in-water-in-fog-16587359/ @Pexels

So I guess I was going for kind of a melancholy lullaby vibe with this piece. Apologies for taking that extra week out, I wasn't happy with the original mix but I think this version is pretty good. I might also do an extended/alternate version sometime. Enjoy! Visual: Teddy bear, Toy, Plush image. Free for use. by Pexels @Pixabay

Forest Bathing - Relaxing Ambient Music
มุมมอง 913 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hi all, Quite a chill piece this time as I wanna keep up with my schedule but I've got some busy weeks ahead. This piece was largely inspired by the video game Flower which is kinda my go-to place to chill out and de-stress. The music and vibes are just so uniquely pretty and soothing and I tried to capture them here. I love this kind of soundworld so much so it's very likely that I'll explore ...
Lost in Thought 3 (part 2/2)
มุมมอง 2923 หลายเดือนก่อน
So as the name implies this piece is a continuation of LiT 3 part 1. I wanted part 1 to be fairly relaxing and static but I also had ideas for the piece to build and develop and have applied them here. As a result, this piece is more dramatic and more emotional. Please enjoy! Image: Lake Fog Morning by Kev from Pixabay Bird Sounds: Early_morning_birds_02.mp3 by aladar freesound.org/s/511753/ Li...

Abide with Me (underwater version)
มุมมอง 4545 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone, So here's another piece using the same technique as the last upload but a very different vibe. Just wanted to experiment a little with the techniques' flexibility but I'll probs be moving on now cause it's a b to mix. Also I'm not super satisfied with the visuals but they were about the best I could find... oh well. Enjoy! Visuals: Beautiful Underwater Sun Light Beams Shining Thro...
Lacrimosa (underwater version)
มุมมอง 6036 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone, So this is a version of Mozart Lacrimosa that I created by generating white noise and then transcribing the piece by EQing the frequency of each individual pitch. It has an underwatery, sonary quality to it in my opinion… like a chorus of submarines XD But yeh, I think it’s got a pretty cool atmosphere to it. I’ve got a bunch of other pieces in mind to do versions of so I might be...
hello youtube
มุมมอง 376 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is to give you a better understanding of who I am and what my goals are for this channel as I don’t really feel comfortable being such a nebulous entity for everyone. That’s reason number one. Reason number two is that I… have a lot of thoughts and while I usually like to express them through my work, sometimes I just wanna… y’know, say them. Let them out. Then you can share yours an...
Lost in Thought: Shelter (extended)
มุมมอง 1.4K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone, been a while hasn’t it? So this extended version of Shelter was actually my original vision for the piece. Eventually however I decided that I also wanted a version that preserved the singular, claustrophobic mood of the intro and this became the previous (not extended) Shelter. Lost in Thought: Shelter
มุมมอง 1.3K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey all, So here’s the (long overdue) next piece. I made a few changes to the harmony and reduced the upper frequencies which gave it a slightly ‘cold’, muffled, winter-y vibe (at least imo) which, by a happy coincidence, happened to coincide with the holidays, yay! The music also made me think of an isolated gas station in rural America for some reason... so there you are. Hope you all have a ...
Lost in Thought: Clarity
มุมมอง 2909 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone, So this one is basically a condensed extract from LiT Shift. I found the bell like sections of that piece particularly appealing and so have chosen to rework them into a separate piece. And… that’s all there is to say really. I was gonna babble on for a bit more about future plans blah blah blah but I feel like I’ve done that enough times already so I’ll just shut up for now and l...

Awesome! It's funny how a couple of moving dots and some music can bring life to a still image. It feels more immersive.
Yeah, I need to find more like animated graphic overlay thingies (technical term), static images are just so... dead
💪🏽👍top!
Thanks man, much appreciated!
I genuinely believe this is what it would sound like underwater
Like I don't think I could associate this sound with something else
@@Spathaky1 Haha yeh, well I was just interested in the idea of generating white noise and using an eq to pick out certain frequencies and recreating pieces that way. I actually expected more of the white noise to be preserved so it would sound kinda ghostly but instead it sounded VERY "underwatery", I'm sure there's some scientific explanation for that... the lack of overtones n stuff, idk... Also Panis was originally for cello, harp, choir and organ which is a lot more texturally involved that the previous two pieces I've done, so recreating that with one quite limited sound was a challenge.
absolutely stunning
This is one i like it so much.👍
Too bad it's a bit too sad. But well, not everyone has to like it.
@@ramonmedina1974 yeh, just sounded kinda apocalyptic to me idk haha (Also excellent point with the "not everyone has to like it". When I started this channel I decided that I wouldn't be chasing views at all cause this would effectively put the "success" of the channel in the hands of others. Instead my goal is to create the art that I want to make to the best of my ability, this way the "success" remains in my hands. So while I'd love for people to listen, if a piece that I am happy with only gets 5 views, I don't really mind. I am happy with what I made.)
Yes you are right.I like "lost in Thought" so much. More like these. Thank you for your work! @@teacake_94
@@ramonmedina1974 You’re very welcome. I can’t promise to exclusively produce content like Lost in Thought but it is a style that I’m sure will be common on the channel for a long time to come.
Wow. I love the way it's structured. 37:00 onwards is fire!!!
@@finleyspathaky7226 Thanks for listening that far haha, was a right b**** to mix tho I’ll tell ya! There's a series of long pieces that I'm planning on doing but I might be keeping them shorter in general after that. Longer pieces are just such a pain to check cause you keep having to listen back to the whole bloody thing (or at least a decent chunk) every time you change something to make sure it works in context.
very beautiful and melancholic man!
Nice! Thanks!
Thank you! And thanks for your comment on the previous version as well. Sorry I took it down, I was just struggling to find the right visual for the piece. Quite happy with this one tho! 🤞
@@teacake_94 keep going!
@@ramonmedina1974 Thanks man and no worries, there's plenty on the way haha!
que lindo!
Gracias!
This is genius! I love focusing on the individual notes in chords. I think the other sounds really add to it without being overwhelming.
Ayyy thanks man! Mixing is such a headache and I'm suuuuper picky about it but it's great to hear it kinda comes across as intended XD
I like this.
Thanks!
Found your channel around Christmas last year and it has been a blessing. So calming and serene, definitely helps me wind down after a stressful day.
Hi, thanks so much for this. I have a lot of issues with my self-belief but comments like this REALLY help. Thanks again, really glad you liked it!
Love this
Thanks so much!
lovely!
Thanks so much!
No resolution 😢
That piece for your friend's hamster cage goes way too hard!
Dear all, As mentioned in the video I would love to hear and discuss everyone’s thoughts and feedback (positive, negative, whatever). Therefore, if you really DON’T want me to mention your comment in a follow up video, please feel free to say so.
Nice!
Thanks, glad you like it!

Очень красивая музыка! Спасибо огромное за нее
Magical. And calm. Very nice good one.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed!
This helped ground my after a grueling day at work. I don't know who you are or how I found myself here, but thank you for making this piece. Keep it up :)
Thank you, sorry to hear that work is tough but I'm so happy that this could help in some way.
This is beautiful. Thank you.
You’re very welcome. That really means a lot, thank you.
Thank you... the imagery suits the ethereal music, invoking feelings of the infiniteness of the universe !
Thank you, that's very much the feeling I'm after here.

Haha, yeh it's a similar vibe. Fromsoft seems to like that kinda style for their hub worlds.
