Jesus tells His disciples to lift up their eyes, see the field ready for harvest. Then as they return to Cana an official asks for his son's healing. Jesus heals and we see the official's faith as he waits to see the promise fulfilled.

John tells us that Jesus HAD to pass through Samaria. Why? We aren’t told. Samaria was out of the way when traveling to the Galilee area but Jesus HAD to go through Samaria. The only explanation we can have confidenc is that is what the Father showed Him to do, He HAD to go talk with this Samaritan.

Meals is an important part of our gatherings. Usually we enjoy "bring your own" meals together but periodically we do pitch in meals.
