CanOpener Studio - "Conjure Speakers from your Headphone"

I don't always mix on headphones, but when I do I prefer CanOpener. This plugin is a must have in my opinion whether you mix and master on headphones or even just for pleasure listening. It does an amazingly natural job of emulating the crossfeed that happens when listening to speakers...for your headphones. Once you go CanOpener - you don't go back. Mastering with LOGIC Stock plugins (Beginner tutorial)

When you're starting out, learning to Master...keep things simple. Take a long break before you Master your track so you can gain back some fresh perspective. After you've made some broad tonal tweaks while referencing pro tracks in mono...then listen to the pro tracks in stereo for a couple minutes and switch over to your track to see where it stands width wise (you'll get the best perspective...

Small changes can really add up. One plugin that isn't in this chain but typically is in 90% of my mastering sessions is Black Box Analog Design HG-2. Demo it (if you don't already have it) and try the "Master-Midrange Glow" preset. It usually cleans up the midrange real nice but for this track - I didn't like it. (I turn the output down about 10% so it's level matched when bypassing and I turn...
Sonarworks Reference 4 for Speakers - Hear the difference it can make in your room
มุมมอง 1394 ปีที่แล้ว
By using an EQ match plugin - I flip Sonarworks' correction of my room upside down so you can have an idea of how awful my 11' by 14' bedroom sounds without Sonarworks. I also talk about why it will help you mix your music better. I've used Sonarworks in 3 different bedrooms over the last 6 years or so. My current bedroom (without SW) sounds the worst of the 3 by far so there's a good chance th...
What headphones do you use with it?
For years I had Focal Clears which I loved but sadly, had to sell. Now I use Sennheiser HD599SE with Sound ID Reference - Translation Check - Sennheiser 660 - at 50% Dry/Wet - and they sound fantastic!
If with this plugin included in the DT 770 pro 80 ohm it sounds good, does that mean my mix is ok?
Still your favorite? Exactly what I was wondering thanks for making this
You're welcome! I really haven't felt the need to try anything else lately. Especially ones with all the gimmicky head turning emulation and what not. I'd be VERY surprised if anything else was noticeably better than CanOpener because it's just so natural sounding ; )
Makes it sound better and more natural.... I'm going to demo this with EQ correction to Harmon on my planar headphones.
Rad : )
Thank you
You're welcome!
