Hydroseeding: How to build a Hydroseeder DIY
what pump/generator are you running?
It was a 3” trash pump from Harbor Freight
Just wondering what your mixture ratio was, I couldn’t find the video.
50ft? Why wouldn’t you have 200-300 ft spray hose?
Thanks for posting this video, I made a seeder just as you did in the winter of 2023, now in 2024 I have upgraded all my equipment and have a fully functional Erosion Control Business. Again, all thanks to this video and a little extra time on my hands. Hats off to you, my friend! Lot of trials and tribulations with hydro seeding. So be careful what you sign up for if you are building one.
Thanks for sharing man!
Live taking questions on the hydro seeder
Love it
What are the Jets called for the system
Where did you get them could you send a link
How do you agitate while spraying. Do you get a lot of clogs?
Nvm. I understand
Great video. Did you ever make the follow up of using the hydroseeder? I looked on your channel but I cant seem to find it. TIA :)
Thanks for taking time to teach others to make life easier. Educating people is the answer.
Do you put fertilizer in your mix
Inquiring about hydroseeding. I've got patch work that needs service not a major area. What tools should I use for lawn preparation? Awesome video and content 👍
Thank you for the video can you please put together a parts list? I am guessing we can pick up a trash pump from HFT but where did you get the Ts and valves and connectors and what sizes are they?
I would have put your jets not in the center but in opposing corners with one low and one high, would created a better mixing cyclone of water circulation
Do you have a list of items used, or a diagram showing all fittings and hoses?
I don’t I’m sorry I may do a love some day where people Can ask me questions though
Respect ✊🏽
That's sad honestly. You buy shoes that you can't even walk in
It's way easier when losing weight I hate it when I crease my shoes😢
now he has to walk back cause he ain't got the house key
Lol. Anyone's struggle right after buying a new pair of shoes. The struggle is real😂😂. BTW whoever's doing the commentary is gold
That’s me ! 😂
Aye he knows value ... And hill get the walk down thru the years 😊
I used to work as mechanic for lawn care company.i was only 1 there
😅
Hey man I saw you previous video about your issues with your snow dogg plow. Where is the fuse located you were taking about in the beginning? I’m not getting any power to the plow or plow remote.
4:02 i think id build a pull behind trailer for a garden tractor (garden tractor not lawn tractor) And just pull that around as you use it that way you can have a shorter hose, pull it on and off a trailer and even use it to spray chemicals when its not being use fir seeding just change the tank So you dont mix herbsides with seeds. You could even use it as a large tank presure washer for large parking lots.
We need another video!
Unfortunately I sold everything sorry. I could probably make one that better just explains it and show parts and stuff would that help?
Yes, that would be super helpful. I'm about to build one myself. A list or diagram of fittings would be amazing.
@@Myersfamily91yes if you could make a video like that it would be super helpful!
That setup is sweet. I'm helping my brother build one right now. Thanks for the content .
Great video, very helpful. Thank you! The one thing, as someone who is just getting into diy hydroseeding, that I feel is missing from all of the videos I've found so far, is information about nozzles. What would be awesome is a video on the different sizes, spray patterns and an example of each. Or at least the most common nozzles. What I found so far suggests using two nozzles 25 degree and 60 degree which will be good for most everything. But what size 1", 1-1/4" etc. How much psi needed for each size etc. I don't think it is as simple to get it "right" as it appears.
How big is the trash pump ?
Привет из России ✋👋 Это как раз то что я искал! Благодарю вас за ролик👍
What if I just connect a hose to the pump and then the discharge hose ? Do I need the other that goes back into the tank?
Why didn't you offset the jets, meaning put one closer to bottom of the tank and the other at the original position? No knocking just curious of the reasoning.
Pasa el link de la boquilla amigo
everyone needs to stop trying to mimic Perficuts, Spencer or Brians....be FN original!!
If you upsize the pump could you theoretically use two tanks?
Yes
awesome video! thank you for sharing! looking forward to try it!
Tenacity is not a binder.. It's a pre emergent
me likey.
How much power horse power does the trash pump have?
Do you have a piping diagram I could follow out on paper?
Need this
Do you have link to parts used. Or video showing setup/ build? Thanks
I'd like to know as well
Same
I have a pretty good size back yard and recently, a big poplar tree fell and the guys I hired to clear the brush, tore my yard up with their track hoe (understandable). I was pretty concerned about the cost of having someone come out and fix it but I started looking into hydro-seeding and came across your video. I'd love to give it a go and I already have the container as well as most of the winter months to collect and assemble the necessary components but what I'm most uncertain about is the plumbing. Could you share the list of items needed to connect the trash pump to the container? I get the gist of it but getting a spec on dims would seal the deal for me! Any help is super appreciated!!
Did anyone reply??
@@jaygesch1881 no
Hey man how many bales do you use for 2500 sqft
Great video, thanks so much for sharing your experiences here! One question... did you add any fittings to the jet ports on the inside of the tank to make them stir the slurry? I was thinking about putting 45 degree ells kind of pointed down and across the tank from each other to make sure everything stays suspended in there.
In the middle of building one myself any chance for another video?
Looks like a huge Penis Pump GETTO crap rig A Disgrace
Crap Machine = Crap Work, like how you show how "good" of job it does. If you pull up to a commercial project with a toy like that, you will be kicked off the project.
hey dickweed he clearly said he does lawn care
Only an idiot judges before he sees the work. If I knew you were involved in any project that my company were to bid on, I would absolutely refuse. You lack depth and most likely vision. Life is too short to serve asshats.
Karl, how many people have you helped today with a video showing kindness, generosity, and helpful knowledge? Try being more like him, and less like YOU.
Your commentary is crap. Quit being a bitter loser.
Me and my partner years ago built our own hydro seeder from a round 125 gallon tank and trash pumps The trash pumps pull too much water through it takes alot of playing to get it right and mixing in the tank with the dual jets blowing upwards as well as us mixing with a cordless drill 6 months later we bought our first Bowie hydro mulcher 500 gallon from money earned Problem with this business is people think they are done taking care of the yard once it’s popped and green It’s an investment you have to take care of it
One of the BEST videos I've seen, and it's all because of your friendly selfless attitude! I commend you young man...God bless you and your family.
Man I think your video was great. You were honest about your feelings and the successes and failures that you have. This is how you develop trust within a community. Great job!!!! Please don't stop posting your Journey its awesome.
Loved your video ...
