      Metashape works on both Windows and Apple Silicon. Metashape can heavily use CPU, memory, and GPU for different parts of the workflow. If you are working on relatively small projects, a Mac will be fine. However for power users with very large sets of images, a Windows desktop PC will generally be a much better value as you can get a powerful GPU more cheaply, and can get extremely large amounts of RAM much more cheaply than you could with a Mac.

    A tutorial video would be awesome! I know there is a tutorial page under the help section on the Agisoft website. But a video of how to combine the laser scans with photogrammetry would be great. I typically do this using common control points but occasionally we lay any control and it would be awesome to be able to still align everything. Pretty awesome feature you guys have added. The problem Im running into is that the photogrammetry images come in at a WAY different size/scale than the terrestrial laser scans.

    Good news everyoune! Желаю Меташейпу стать лучшим среди конкурентов. Всё что есть в текущей версии уже на голову выше RC и CC. А других конкурентов и нет. Скорость обработки подняли в разы, тайлы по сети обрабатывают, текстура блеск, увязка лазера с фото уже хорошо работает.😍

    The option to build block models is a great new feature. I'm working on it right now to test it. I like it a lot! Now we can handle big data models more smoothly and with more structure. Thanks for the nice presentation!

    Will it work in the same manner for terrestrial scanners LiDAR + camera? I don't see reasons why not, but I may expect some parameters in this pipeline optimized for data captured by drone.

      Yes, this idea also works for TLS in Metashape. Although in the case of TLS (terrestrial laser scanners) there is no scanner trajectory because it is stationary during shooting, the scanner position is indeed taken into account in the same way as described in the video about trajectory (just visibility rays are drawn not from the trajectory but from the stationary position of the scanner).

    Thanks for the video. Is it possible to launch several photogrammetry treatments at the same time? for example I have 5 folders, on each of the folders I have 20 images, and I would like to send the 5 folders at the same time to the software and process them all at the same time in order to end up with 5 different photogrammetry which would correspond for each photogrammetry to the corresponding picture folder.     I am an archaeologist. I want to use Agisoft Metahsape Pro to draw the archaeological building remains at the trench area. For archaeologist measurements and scale is so important.     What if base flights cannot be processed in the field and as a result you need to return and relocate the base station? Could this be a problem? Simply put, I do not own a laptop with enough performance to allow processing directly in the field.

    OMG, such a long process! Reconstruction only would take about 3 days with 3000 pictures... I admire the quality of the 3d model but I think I still prefer flying manually, a little further and stay in control. I would loose a little quality but who needs such a detailed 3d model? Or rather: are people paying for 3d models that take half a week to produce?

      The processing time depends on the reconstruction parameters used (like depth maps quality, for example) and computer hardware used.

    I have a problem when importing the KML into pilot .. drones heading is parallel with its trajectory, and when i put manuel, it wont take the heading information in the KML, so I have to manually set heading for each wp.. any solutions ?

    Is this possible without RTK station with only DJI air 2s, wondering how the drone would know exactly where to go once launching after building the flight plan, would the flight plan include the coordinate data or something to tell the drone exactly where in the world the photo points are?

      I may be wrong, but i think is on coordinate data, and this is why you must use RTK..

      RTK is simply about positional accuracy. Air2S is generally thought to have a roughly 3m +- accuracy, but if your original flight was out by 3m, and your new flight is out by 3m, that's 6m already. You can use this system with the Air2S, but you want a bigger safety margin, minimum 10m, but 15m to be absolutely safe. The drone stores it's GPS data in the photo's metadata, or for videos it saves it as a subtitle file. When you load photos into Metashape it pulls in the relevant GPS data.
