That's a bad presentation..... Here's how the internet will begin answering. You'll also pay for the extra ductwork for the room that You barely ever use. If the room lacks air flow and gets stifled, how is adding more air goiing to unstiffle it? Aiir will only flow if there is higher pressure pushing into the room. If in an equilibrium, it will stop being pushed and back up down the ductwork and go somewhere with less resistance. (You're only hoping there's a way for the old air to flow out, right)? It has to seep under the doors, thru the drywall somewhere, or another exit route. Finish with a better explanation: Your best option is to not install doors on small rooms, (which makes no sense)or always leave them open- so the forced fresh air can return to the system. Get Your air moving around as much as possible

I know it's a bit more expensive.. but in the Bahamas we like to run return ducting.. especially to the bedrooms.. it makes a huge difference.. imho!

Yes! I didn’t go into that but each bedroom here has both return ducting and dampers that control them as individual zones. Pretty great!

And did you know if the door on said room/ closets door is not given sufficient air flow under door, that said supply is worthless? A unit cannot put air conditioning where it can not! Get it back! Most builders put hardwood in rooms and carpet in closets. 26 years of seeing this.

What about how far to tile? In my 1929 Atlanta house w/ wood subfloor, I tiled all the way to the walls, over concrete backer board I screwed to the wood. Then reinstalled the cabinets and appliances. That is flexible for future changes in cabinets and insures vermin from the crawlspace can't come up behind the cabinets (rats had as-found). Recently did the same in my CA kitchen, over a concrete slab. I first patched cracks, used self-leveling cement mix, then Laticrete decoupling mat, going all the way to the walls. I feared that had I used laminate or luxury vinyl, it would compress over time under the weight of the cabinets. Definitely wouldn't use wood, since had ripped out the real-wood parquet floor which had buckled in places. Wood over concrete is a bad idea, plus anywhere in a kitchen or bath. The parquet had been glued over vinyl roll flooring (original when house was built in 1972?). Removing all the vinyl glue was not easy. They had installed the parquet up to the cabinets, which locked them in place. Had also nailed the cabinets to the wall and ceiling joists which made removal tedious.
