    O percursionista tocando com Al Di Meola e mete uma camisa carniça do Corintians, quebrou a harmonia, a música, a instrumentalidade, quebrou tudo, ficou parecendo pagode e mal tocado. Fala sério, sem noção

    His guitar is almost identical to my black Adamas guitar. Very narrow and highly radiused fretboard. It's not my best sounding guitar, but far and away the most playable. I wish Martin made one with a neck like that.

    I've been listening to this man for more than 40 years. He never disappoints. His sense of rhythmic space and melodic "breath" is always startling. His variety of colour is genius. Not a note ever wasted for effect. A subtlety that can only come with age. In my mind the mark of true virtuosos - we know that at any moment they have the immense skill to explode as they did in their youth. But now they know the power of silence and the mystery of notes barely heard. I am not a musician, but I remember that in learning to become an actor he was my quiet tutor in internal pulse. The rise and fall of a phrase, it's place and intention.... and the physical repetition and practice it took to be effortless. Bravo, Sir.!

    Pues la historia es interesante....... muy resumido...Al DIMeola estuvo siguiendo a Paco desde sus principios, y cuando Al sacó el segundo disco y tuvo un poco de notoriedad, hizo que su compañia se discos llamara a la de Paco en España, y metieron a Paco en un avión a EEUU para grabar con Al Dimeola el "Mediterranean Sundance". Dice que Paco llegó con un amigo, y que al llegar al estudio no daba pie con bola. Le dijo a amigo que si no iba colocado no podía concentrarse (da a entender que de cigarritos de la risa). Al día siguiente por la mañana, y ya procurado el material, Paco grabó el tema en una sola toma, perfecto, y se volvieron todos locos. Y vendió 3 millones de copias. Este es el link al tema "Mediterranean Sundance" que Paco grabó con Al DImeola ese día th-cam.com/video/A3m_SQFd3xg/w-d-xo.html Le tiene un respeto enorme.

    I love it when a guitarist lays back and just plays simple lines, and then zap like a bolt of lightning they burst out with and then possibly complicated 32nd note Riff. I like the idea that they just don’t play every single fucking know that they know all the time all day long. It’s like living beneath your means, right? You make $100,000 a year, but you budget your life so that you live on $85,000 a year.

    Just like Santana with the original Mark series Boogies, DiMeola is the only one whoever made an Ovation sound so amazing.

    • @gregcarter8656
      @gregcarter8656 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Di Meola collaborated with Ovation to design a signature model. I have a similar Ovation 6-string model, same black color and pickups. I'm sure the one Al is playing in this video is his signature Ovation model, 1769-ADii. The model is no longer available, but you can see it on TH-cam, and some other websites.
