did ye hear of the recent news about VGDD2? VINTAGE FIGHT! Season 1, close to 500 or so cards in it's own separate mode. TD-01, TD-02, BT-01, BT-02, TD-03, TD-04, BT-03, BT-04, EB-01, BT-05, EB-02 (And maybe a buncha promos) Also confirmed that it'll have Clan Mixing and G Assist.

"Embossed' is the texture. So technically, the Dragon Shields are embossed. "Matte" is quite literally just a smooth(ish) matte finish that dulls the art (at least more so than embossed sleeves). The shuffle feel is pretty much the same to me..? So it's just down to preference for how you want your sleeve art to look.

Actually now they released a new version of yanoman Z series called the Yanoman ZL, which is less sharp and firm but still quite firm, I recommend it if you like the original Z series but you felt that it was too sharp/firm

They tend to care more about “wiggle” room when it comes to outer sleeves for events. Especially when there is wiggle room like the katana sleeves. However idk how much they care this year. This tends to change from one year to the next

I used Dragon Shield for years because they were accessible and easier to afford, but the inner sleeve would always move around due to the extra length which started to annoy more recently. Some friends recommended Broccoli to me, they feel amazing to shuffle and have a much better fit. They're not a tough as Dragon Shield, are alot more expensive and are harder to pick up. I've heard Overguard Z being recommended but the glossy backs make me think that they'll end up sticking. Would you say they're worth a try? For now Broccoli is for me.

You can ABSOLUTELY use Katana sleeves as over sleeves. You can use ANY brand of "over" sleeves so long as the sleeves are uniform and dont have any "distracting" designs. I honestly LOVE the feel of katana but they can get dirty pretty quick which is my only gripe for clear sleeves.

I love Dragon Shield sleeves but I have experienced a few inconsistencies whereby some sleeves are slightly larger than others which is noticeable when shuffling. If my opponent shuffles my deck, they might notice it too and possibly call a judge, accusing me of "marking" cards.

I mean I wish I could use better sleeves but comparing the prices its just not worth, broccoli goes for around 38 euros on amazon while dragonshields one is like 8. The z jr ones are also around 38 euros. I mean i can buy the dragonshield one 4 times over and it will still be cheaper than one pack of the Japanese card ones. Prices on Japanese sleeves taken from amazon and dragonshield one from their own website. edit: Amazon pricing for ds outer sleeves is around 13 euros for a more fair assessment and these euro estimates is a well educated guess, my currency is sek so it might be a little off but it should be around right.

as an addendum the 13k power was important even apart from crossrides, since with an 8k booster, they would hit 21k since there were no 15k shields at the time, that would make it a 2 card guard without triggers. its also why palamedes was a good card (and a RRR)

I love Katana sleeves. They feel so good and the quality are so consistent (at least for me). I actually don't mind the extra gap in Dragok Shield outer sleeves, although I'm always suspicious about quality. I got some that we fine. I really want to try the Broccoli ones tho
