I was really hoping season 11 or 13 there two of the best seasons in the classic series

An expected reveal but very exciting not the biggest jon pertwee fan but I do enjoy some of his stories especially his first one and the silurians are good as well and the sea devil's definitely.

Inferno was initially wiped and only existed in black and white until 1985 when TV Ontario returned colour copies on 525-line NTSC tapes. Over the years, it has been restored in various ways such as RSC. I don't think they'll feature it in B&W. It'll probably be the new restored version, the 2006 DVD version (which isn't cropped) and perhaps a new version with updated special effects. We weren't able to see the Spearhead steelbook cover because the set cover featuring the discs was in the way, taking up the centre of the picture. I wonder if it's supposed to be eight discs and one has been missed off. You'd think there'd be two for Ambassadors. If so, what will the artwork be? If the interior is of the workshop then the back should be of the alien spaceship about to swallow the Doctor's space capsule or if the interior is of the lounge from Ambassadors then the back should be of the Doctor travelling to the parallel Earth. That way, Lee will have represented all four stories (flap, booklet, back, interior).

Hi Paul, great review been watching your channel for a while now. I started watching from An Unearthly Child last year and currently on The Space Museum. Hopefully 2025 I will do better!

I’m ok with the principle of colourising the episodes to a point, but I don’t particularly think we need it. I see it as more of a novelty. I watched the colourised Daleks but I have no desire to part with my hard-earned cash to own the blu-Ray. But I do feel that every penny spent on colourising episodes we already have in a penny that isn’t being spent on doing a decent animation on a missing episode. I also didn’t think very highly of the colourised Daleks. Like a lot of 60s Who (including War Games) it has too many episodes and too much padding. A slow 6 or 10 parter often would have made a nice, tight 4 parter. The AARU movies show this. 90 minutes long and you don’t feel like you’ve missed anything. So Daleks could easily benefit from a cut-down. But the way in which it was done for the colourised Daleks was choppy and badly edited. And the editing and new music changed the pace, tone and mood of the whole program. And I think that gives newer fans a very unrealistic view of what Classic Who is actually like. I’ll be watching the colourised War Games, especially as I’ve loved this story for a very long time, but the editing and incidental music need to be better than The Daleks for me to want to see it a second time.

I'm pleased it's a Jon Pertwee. Season 7 was the first Season I watched from 8 years old. It was also the first season to be made in colour. I've watched Doctor Who since 1970 and have been watching it ever since. Jon is one of my favourite Doctors. All 4 stories of this season is brilliant. How did you know it was being released ?

I'm in the US, and already have Whittaker's standalone seasons on BD and her full series box set on DVD (to match that of Chris, David, Matt, and Peter). I bought this set because I loved the artwork but wasn't sure I wanted to keep or return it. Thanks for unboxing it and helping me make decision. Loved Whittaker as the Doctor but with few exceptions, her episodes were bad (the writing and such, not the acting).

heres what i think the next animation will be highlanders my reasonings being 1 they said tartan was difficult and drawing the landscapes but if it was done in 3d it would get rid of these problems 2 the next one is likley 3d as we don't know what shapeshifter studios is working on 3 if we get the highlanders next every series except season 3 will need 1 story left

I might get this for Christmas, I’m hyped to get it…

I like the design, though I suppose it's hard to capture every detail of a character when making a animation or live action remake.

The toymaker animation was pretty good but It's great that the 2d style is back.

Could be good. I really disliked the animation on Underwater Menace and Abominable (emphasis on Abominable) Snowmen. The Celestial Toymaker was good as a one off but mainly because that style of animation suited the story. In an ideal world I would like to see the return of Moonbase/Invasion quality artwork 🤞🏼 Wonder what happened to The Smugglers ?

I'm looking forward to this, you can't really tell what the story is like from the audio and telesnaps so it will be like watching a brand new First Doctor adventure. It's a good sign that they aren't just animating stories with familiar aliens or existing episodes, if they're doing The Savages it means they'll get round to all of them sooner or later.

We got that wonderful fan made animation for wheel already, I’m happy with it, it’s great. Happy to be getting the savages, I’ve never seen it. Hope we get an official announcement soon. I’m pretty sure this will be a 2D animation, as I’m sure the UWM team bcc studios are working on it.

This is probably the other project that was hinted to being made by BBC Studios a while back. Therefore, it will most likely be 2d. Ian Levine said a while ago that the next animation wouldn't be The Smugglers but would be a story that his AI teams have tackled. Looks like it will be The Savages and the results will have more care and attention applied than the shitty AI recons he's been consistently bringing out this year.

It would be nice to get this on animation one day so all of season 4 will be avaliable on dvd and I would say that season 4 would be one of the last box sets for the collection range.

I reckon I saw some of this back in the day. Got a very fractured memory of Alexander fighting the Redcoat at the start of episode one. However, I wouldn’t swear on it. I definitely remember watching a lot of season 5 but for some reason that brief memory of 2 men fighting on a moor is quite vivid. It does seem like a really random episode of Who to recall, which is why Im so confused. I don’t think I can remember anything else about season 4 so …🤷‍♂️.

I've been saying this for YEAAAAARS. Star Trek, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Men In Black, and Batman all have gad phenomenally successful animated adaptions and continuations. Zero for Doctor Who (barring Shalka and that awful one with David Tennant).

I never want to see any Doctor Who coloured. I mean they might see it as an opportunity to remove things that the modern audience is too afraid to watch. The only colourisation I will except is lost episodes that were meant to be in colour that only exist in black n white.
