Mountain bike trails around Perth, Western Australia and beyond. Its all about fun, i don't take it too seriously...I’m aiming to show people the trails that are out there, and riding them from top to bottom. I’m not saying "look at me", I'm saying, this is the trail, go find it and ride it. Thanks for watching .
SAM HILL " Cornering coaching". Mundaring Pines, Perth. Western Australia
Back in 2018 i did a "Basic Cornering" skills clinic with DH & Enduro world champion Sam Hill. The video is not action packed and audio can be a little low at times, but if you're planning on starting racing, there is some invaluable advice and tips on it. I hope this upload will be useful to you. It was an awesome morning and a privilege to hang out with the Mountain bike legend.
Thanks.
Thanks.

BOULDER DASH Kalamunda Valley. SECTION BY SECTION, Norco Sight

Had a run down Boulder Dash and was guided through all the sections by Steve from Freemount apparel. As always the GoPro effect was happening and doesn't show the trail for its steeps and Gnar. Go find it and ride..

Shuttles at Welli mills. Steep, dry and loose, all good fun. definitely some good stuff to be had there, go ride it.
PRETTY FLY KALAMUNDA VALLEY. Norco Sight.
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A cruisy run down PRETTY FLY. A flowing trail with a bit of everything, tight single track through the trees, rocks, drop offs, wooden ladder jump, wood to small gap jump, steep tech and slabs to finish. I love this trail, its on the tamer side compared to other Valley trails, but still good fun to lap or warm up on. Go find and ride...thanks for watching.
BLUE TONGUE . THE GOAT FARM MTB PARK. NORCO SIGHT
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hit Blue Tongue blind, i made a few mistakes but still a fun trail. One of the new Goat Farm trails. It has table tops, rock gardens and tight switchback berms at the top. Go ride it !

MURRAY VALLEY. KARRACKATOA. DWELLINGUP. NORCO SIGHT A2
มุมมอง 1.8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
The ever expanding Murray Valley has done it again, more great trails. Karrackatoa is a black (easy black) trail, with plenty of flow, speed bumps, jumps and all set in the beautiful Dwellingup bushland. This one is well worth the ride.

Found some old Camcorder footage of the good old days in the UK. From smashing hardtails to my first Downhill bikes. Thought the lads in the clips would like to see again, good times, boys..

Another morning where we went to try a trail we hadn't ridden before, riding blind, TNP (great trail name) is pretty tech, with ladders and drops. Go find it and ride it.
Walking my bike down SNAKE CHARMER ! Kalamunda Valley
มุมมอง 2.8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Searching for, then walking my bike down this gnarly trail, it looks nothing on the video ( the GoPro effect) but its very steep, off camber and has big rock sections. Go find it and ride it if you can.. i couldn't. Not expecting much love for this vid, but it was a good morning out with the boys.
NYAANIA. KALAMUNDA VALLEY. NORCO SIGHT A2 2020
มุมมอง 6564 ปีที่แล้ว
Had a rare day off work so went for a solo mission in the Valley looking for trails i hadn't ridden. Nyaania was one of them. It's a short, (slightly overgrown) descent full of ruts and rocks. Worth the climb.
SCORPION KALAMUNDA. NORCO SIGHT A2 2020
มุมมอง 3.9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Possibly the last ride before we get locked down due to Corona Virus, so i hit the local trails with my son. Scorpion is a local favourite, with wooden sleeper berms and log ride features. Great trail.
PUGSLEY Margaret River Pines . Norco Sight A2 2020
มุมมอง 1.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Short but fun, like most of the Pines trails. Plenty of berms, jumps and a wall ride.

Sweet trail!
The demon of Neptunia is upon the bushes of this track. It is where Shelby did a turdy of beckinsale tribunctia. I saw it not only with my eye, but with the rudimentary eye of loamsanctia. As bleedm & loam drips down the pine of the sickle tree, so shall it be in the sanctify of the dotnraki tanctim
I'm privileged that you can take this class with Sam Hill. here in Brazil I'm a big fan of this guy
Yes, it was a great opportunity he doesn’t do them any more so I feel lucky I had the chance. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
What a humble guy. Love watching Sam
Yeah, he is very humble and very chilled. Truthfully, I was there to meet Sam first, then learn from him second 😂. Thanks for watching mate.
Where about in valley is this trail located?
Hey mate, pretty sure it’s the one next to the entry to Slabs off the power lines fire road. Go there and look at the video where we go in and you will soon know if it’s the right one. It’s a good one. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Hey dude. How achievable is it to pedal to the top of the trail head at welly. Or is it only realistic doing shuttles ??
Hey mate, it’s a fair pedal to be honest, I think it’s mostly a shuttle place, depends how fit you are and if you like climbing, but most people shuttle. If you are there to ride downhill trails you won’t want to be climbing it.
@@Brummieinthesun Have to ring some of a buddies then when I come up. Cheers Brad.
@@dadHuntchannel2024 hey mate, check out Loose Riders and a few of the other shuttle companies, then often go to Welli. 🤙🏻
Yeah I've seen those brands, I just won't have alot of time in Perth and just thought the dates wouldn't line up. But I should have a look and not make that assumption. Cheers bud
Still a fun one to ride even with the water rut
Yeah, just such a mission to get to the start 😄
Im watching the video with a cup op coffee...nice, thanks
Cheers for watching mate 👍🏻👍🏻
definitely not for hardtails....
Ha, no mate, would be a bit of a wild ride🤣 might be alright with a big enough fork up front 👊🏻 cheers for watching.
Looked ace. Glad to see you keeping up with the youngsters old man!
Cheers mate. Easy with the “old man” you !!😄
you ever try the road gap that's over there? not the mundaring one, the the one that goes over zig zag?
Hey mate, no, I looked for it once but couldn’t find it, but truthfully I’m not a road gap guy, only do small jumps nowadays, getting soft in my old age 😄 thanks for watching man. 🤙🏻
watch out for the TREE!!!! good vid
Yeah mate, I went a little better the next time down, that rock garden got me also !! Cheers for watching.🤙🏻
Yo the kid do be giving me Bailey smith vibes.
🤣 👍🏻👍🏻
What bike?
Hey mate, that was an old Trek Remedy 27.5, got a Norco Sight now 29er and I kinda miss my 27.5, much more responsive and fun. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
🤟🏼
I was thinking "yeah cool, nice and flowy" then BAM at 1:25, that gnarly looking rock garden almost lead you into a tree! Then that real chunky stuff later on - nice job riding it blind!
Yeah cheers man, caught me off guard, nice trail though. The Goat farm is going well after it’s much needed up grades. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
This ones for the “young bummers” Steve 🤣 bahhhh ha ha haaaa.
You been back on this since?
No mate, too much for me, it was good fun and I’m all for searching for new Valley trails, but it’s a bit too gnarly. The video doesn’t do it justice, it’s mega steep and techy, but you should grab the boys and go find it and ride it, it’s certainly a fun morning out ! I should have a new vid up in a few weeks ( Pretty Fly) more my thing.. ( easy in other words 🤣) thanks for watching 🤙🏻
@@Brummieinthesun hahahha deffinitly looks interesting hey HahHa. Should be good for a laugh I guess. No worries. Will lookout for your video man 🤙
He will be overtaking you soon!
Hope so mate👍🏻
I think U gotta go on the inside on that rock garden before the table tops...i got towed in and shown the line lucky me haha otherwise I would've eaten dirt.
Yeah, I think you are right, always hard hitting it blind, things come up a bit quick. It’s a good little trail though. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I full sent those jumps 😂
So cool. Never realized you could coach them while racing. Wish I did this with my girls.
Yeah it’s great they let you follow them, he doesn’t need coaching but a bit of encouragement!! Thanks for watching.
Where is the place sir??
Not sure mate, somewhere deep into the interior of Bali, I’m sure their web site will tell you. Thanks.
That was amazing. He got some great air on those first runs. Well done Evan. Looks like you had a good time as well!
Cheers Al, it’s a great event and our favourite trail centre. Next round in 4 weeks. 🤙🏻
Nice one! "You can rest when you die" 🤣
😂 I’m his motivational speaker !!
Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
Hahah he rides way better than me. I reckon I need U givinnme motivation too lol and coaching 🤣
😂 Thanks
🤙🏼
I did the scorpion 🦂 today for the first time, those wooden berms are steeper than they look in the video.
Hey mate, yeah the GoPro tends to dumb down all features on a trail, thanks for watching man🤙🏻
Well done guys - great clip. Best i have seen of this trail. You have nailed Krakkers . I want to hear you push and pull each other down it and talk it up. Show us how much fun you are having! Rusty
Thanks for the comment mate. It’s a great trail for sure, Inzamia on that side is also epic. Thanks for watching Rusty.
4:01 boo! You didn’t even do the drop!😂
Yeah, I know 😄 don’t like it to be honest and feel it’s faster going past it.
Looks ace. Was Evan behind you? Or is he now waiting for you!!?
Ha, won’t be far off,! Evan rode it with my other mate Shaun, behind us. It’s a great trail, it’s much faster than it looks on film. 👍🏻
You’re nearly as fast as me dad
Great day out
Hello, the bottom bracket is thread at norco sight a2?
Hello Antonio’s, I am pretty sure it is threaded yes.
@@Brummieinthesun Thank you Brad !!Can you talk me about the bike? Ι m interesting about the A2 2020 model. I saw you choose smaller size than the suggestion of Norco.
@@AntonisG. hi mate, yes, Norco put me on a Large and after a few rides I sold it. It was too big and felt lifeless. So I got the Medium and it was a different ride. You should definitely demo on if you can before you buy. The medium is playful and feels fast. Love it.
@@Brummieinthesun how tall are you? I am 176cm & have a large A2 on order, hopefully its ok. No one has a medium or a large even in stock atm.
@@1300SL help mate, I’m 176. I ride a medium.
Ride with you all the way man👌👌perfect stabilization,,visit my trail mate ride safe
Yeah, pretty awesome hey, where’s your trail mate??
🤙🏼
Nice vid mate, can yo do a video of pretty vacant? Keep up the good work
Hey mate, maybe, but have you seen the creek gap on that trail !! I’ve only ridden the trail once and chickened out on the gap, I was on my own though😄, thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
This looks quality. Hmmmm I wonder if it fits the hero 7?
Hey mate, no it’s a new thing for the Hero 9, the camera has a mode you have to put it in for the lens to work. It’s pretty impressive though hey. Thanks for watching.
@@Brummieinthesun ah yeh, just saw on the website just for the 9. Does look good though, keep the vids coming!
@@thetrailmonkey7190 cheers mate. Thanks for watching.
Awesome vid mate! So impressed with the lens mod... thinks actually look kinda steep for a change?! Which is never usually the case with the GoPro footage.. and the stabilisation is incredibly impressive aswell. I’m convinced haha I’m getting one for sure for mine. Cheers!
Cheers man, well worth the investment. It will be an expensive replacement after a crash though ! $160..
@@Brummieinthesun 😳😮try not to crash😂
Nice track, but the ride to the start and the last bit suck 😅
The starts not too bad for a gentle climb, we actually shuttled this trail and Inzamia, left a car at the Chudditch area, so no long climb back after, love a shuttle 😄
Yeah we shuttles it after a big day on the other trails. Probly y i was so knackerd. Hittin up welli mills in a coupla weeks. Cant wait
Best day ever🤘🏼🤘🏼
Not bad for an old fella ;)
You cheeky bastard. 😄
Nah mate you're supposed to ride up it! 😂 bloody goat track
Ha, yeah it’s a steep one that’s for sure. Thanks for watching.
That was awesome to watch you mate! champion
Thanks mate, i appreciate that. I love that trail and we are heading back there to ride all the new ones very soon. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Ive been on that trail
Slxk_x Then you know who crazy it is in real life! Thanks for watching.
I thought I understood the gopro effect until today after 'riding' this trail for the first time... total different thing this is steep. Gave the brakes and tires a real workout. Thanks for the chat cheers.
OktaFierce good to meet you mate. 🤙🏻 I did two more runs after you left then called it, too hot !!
I miss this place.. so peaceful after few rides and chill at the balconey facing the lake
Muhd Qairul yea man, pretty great spot 🤙🏻
Do you know how much this bike roughly weighs? I can’t seem to find it anywhere!
Kyle D hey Kyle, I’m not sure about my bike, the A2, but I watched a flow mountain bike video and they reviewed the 2020 A1 and said it was 15.35 kg, they aren’t light !! Thanks for watching.
That brings back sooo many memories, good times. I remember your front wheel like yesterday ,at the sandbanks👍
Great times mate. That’s what happens when you switch all the comps off a XC Kona Cindercone and put them on a dirt jumper, 😄 they were never going to last long. I remember weeks later I had Mavic wheels and a nice set of Marzocchi Bombers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I was just going down a TH-cam rabbit hole and saw this… and came to comment to say “is that Andy Leish?” 😂
Hey mate, couple questions: 1. where is a good place to cop a downhill bike in Perth? 2. is Mundaring or Dwellingup better for faster tracks?
Troy Hadge Hey Troy. I wouldn’t know where to get a DH bike in Perth, I can’t say I have ever seen one in a store. Better to source online or from private ads. Most stores only sell trail/Enduro bikes. There isn’t much “ Downhill” in Wa. As for faster trails, go to Dwellingup. But they are more flow trails ( see my Boom boom video) so you don’t really need a DH bike there. Mundaring is cool, but the area is full of short runs, more of a play area really, road gaps etc. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Hows the norco feel?
Hey Andrew, feels good mate, nice and planted, nice and quiet. Still getting used to the 29 wheels though. It’s a bit different from the 27.5 Trek Remedy I came off. But on the whole I’m loving it. 🤙🏻 Thanks for watching.
