Imam Malik RA differed with the people of madinah in a few issues based on ahad narrations like leaving bismillah. While the qurra of madinah criticized him that he left bismillah upon one narration of an iraqi which imam malik himself dont rely upon. Most of the madinah raised voice while reciting bismillah in prayer. E.g Ibn Umar Abu Hurairah ibn shihab Az Zuhri and many more. I follow imam maliks way of thinking about amal but when he deviates from it I look for the amal of madinah instead. I also wont limit myself to the amal of madinah. Looking at the amal of all the cities as a whole gives u a quite good picture of how islam was being followed.

How you will find what Shaykh said ? If Allaha's giving is out of his love and mercy or because of your wealthy arrogant Tyrant behavior towards his Humanity and his creation ? which he dislike and deprived you out of his mercy? Very simple? If his giving takes you towards his book Quran for guidance? his love and will is with you ? If it doesn't perhaps you ask for forgiveness of your shortcomings and run rush to open the Quran and read it with translation and ask Allaha for guidance . As Allaha says in "Quran it is a book of pure guidance seek guidance from it ."

As per hanafi madhab his awrah needs to be covered wudu is accepted but for other reasons it is harram to uncover knees
