I absolutely love your style for your December journal but understand when you are boxed into a theme. I've been faithfully journaling my December and as much as I love Christmas itself, I do get tired of the theme for my journal. Following along for the next part of January. Joan

I love your journal and I’m also using a sort of composition notebook for my journal, similar process to yours. I’m trying not to go for a theme and be eclectic😊see how that goes. TFS. ❤😊 Happy New Year 🎊🎆

I use a TN style cover for my junk journal planner, so the cover is always the leather TN cover. Inside each month is a separate insert. I do have a bit of a theme, at least in colors, but it changes every month, so I don’t feel too boxed in. I have some elements I use over and over again that add some cohesion. Thanks for sharing your journal and your process, it was fun to watch!

I enjoyed your video. I love going to estate sales. I have been going for many years and have found lots of good things. My husband likes to go to, so it is something we like to do together. We are retired now and don't go as much as we used to, but I still like to go.I am mostly just looking for craft supplies, vintage jewelry, linens, pyrex & kitchen items now. I started slow stitching earlier this year. I have been making a lot of purses, little pouches and needle books. I use embroidered linens, old pieces of jewelry, lace & trims, and fabrics. Everything is stitched by hand. I want to start junk journaling and have been collecting things for that. I have lots of vintage cards & post cards, etc. I just don't know how to get started. I have been watching videos. You found some really good things. I love the vintage card boxes. I am going to look for those. Good luck on your estate sales.

You just came across my feed. New subbie love all your scores. Estate sales/yards sales/thrift stores are so fun for these kinds of things.

You found so many beautiful treasures. I also love to find materials to use at estate sales. I know some people find it a bit invasive to source from estate sales but I see it as re loving things someone has also found as precious. Also these belongings would have most likely ended up in landfills and now they will be loved and repurposed. I hope my belongings will one day be re- loved and re homed as well.

That painted butterfly. On linen. it's probably a transfer for embroidery purposes. My mother used to use them. You buy them ready printed and you use them for guidelines for your colour and stitching.

The ledger was a great find! love the images on the stationary box. Your Ideals magazines were in great shape. My mom loved ideals magazines. Love the 1951 animal illustrations. The colors in the Little Golden Bird book are just wonderful. Great finds.

Great finds! I used to love looking at the Ideals magazine when I was little. The images and poems were so beautiful.

The bunny is made from plastic canvas. Some call it needlepoint. I have a lot of stuff from plastic canvas ❤

I live near a retirement community and some call it Estate Sale city. They held on to those items for a reason, so whenever I use something I got at an estate sale, I think of them.

Hi Katie, I find many of your journaling videos already have an ASMR feel to them. Very relaxing and soothing due to the background sounds, music and closeness of the filming. I also can’t tear books apart so I scan and print the images I want instead. This works for me and my book “gem” stays intact. Thanks for sharing your love of journaling and this wonderful haul. ✨😘
