I mean, yea, DJs great, but rodtang was hyper aggressive w/ forward pressure looking to end the fight in Rd 1 so it's not surprising he landed, not really indicative of his striking prowess. Keep it competitive for 3-5 rounds in strictly stand-up now You're talking. That said, DJ could be the best to ever do it (MMA) definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves

@@rickjones5399rodtang ate a few inevitable punches, you gents don't seem to understand everyone gets hit in a fight, and, when you waltz forward trying to end the fight in 3 minutes to avoid the MMA round, you open yourself up even more to counters, "give me shots" in truth. DJ did okay but some in the MMA community overrate the standup abilities of our fighters. Notice the difference between rodtang/DJ when they landed, DJ was jolted with each punch, each thunderous lowkick, rodtang ate DJs punches for lunch. OneFCs "Muay Thai" doesn't even allow real clinching as it's stopped pretty quick vs Thailands Muay Thai, real Muay Thai. DJ was nearly thrown and ate some savage knees in only a couple clinch exchanges. Then, factor in how high level striking is rhythm/timing based, Rodtang would've likely tko'd DJ in the second were at another stand-up round as rodtangs reads/adjustments would've been made, again he was forced to go forward and brawl, basically a more raw less polished version of himself. If ya don't get it, I understand, these are fine details of the fight game 😁

@@JohnLocke1776 you can rant all you want. The facts are DJ was too slick for Rodtang on the feet when it came to punches. DJ works more angles and was quicker so that is why Rodtang got hammered. Not because he wanted to be punched. That's such a dumb thing to think. And yes Rodtang landed some nice kicks. Still, he only landed like 3 maybe 4 good ones and as soon as DJ took away those kicks he took that back easy and put him out. You can either see the fight for what it was or hate on DJ's performance undermining it. That's sad though
