Here is a comparison between the CFX2 and CFX3 models:
- Compressors: The compressors are different in the CFX2 and CFX3 models. The CFX3 compressor is a little faster and slightly more energy-efficient. Both compressors are highly effective and of premium quality.
- Internal Cooling Walls: In the CFX2 model, the internal cooling wall is absent in the "crisper area" above the compressor, whereas in the CFX3, it is present throughout all internal walls.
- User Interface: The CFX2 has a basic control panel, while the CFX3 features an advanced high-resolution display.
- App Support: Both models are compatible with the Dometic Mobile Cooling app; you can set the temperature on both devices, but power consumption history is only available on the CFX3.
- Handles: Both the CFX2 and CFX3 have folding handles. The CFX3 handles are made of self-closing aluminum alloy, while those on the CFX2 are made of durable ABS.
Considerations: According to online data, the Dometic app for the CFX3 should also store the temperature history, and the CFX2 models are rated as energy class "B" and not "C" like the CFX3, which contradicts the claim that the CFX3 has a more efficient compressor (is the internal volume being considered?).
In short, it’s not entirely clear, but these are minor details. Each customer's choice between the CFX3 and CFX2 will depend on their individual needs.
