Dear Administrator's @CHC Sankoo Kargil It is writing to bring to your attention the serious challenges currently faced by the healthcare facilities at CHC Sankoo, which are directly affecting patient care. Despite the center’s qualification for the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, several critical operational issues are undermining the quality of service provided, and these need urgent attention. 1. USG Machine: Although the USG machine has been available for a year, there is no sonologist to operate it, which is a critical need for maternal care. This gap is significantly affecting the ability to provide essential diagnostic services. 2. Dysfunctional Laboratory Machine: The laboratory analyzer machine has been non-functional for over a day, hindering essential diagnostic services and causing delays in patient care. 3. Power Supply Disruptions: Frequent power supply issues, especially during the harsh winter, have been disrupting the facility's ability to provide continuous care, compromising patient safety and service delivery. 4. Inadequate Medicines: There is a severe shortage of essential medicines at the facility. The quality and availability of the medicines are insufficient, which negatively impacts patient treatment and recovery. These issues highlight significant gaps in the day-to-day operations of the healthcare facility, which are compromising patient safety and care. Despite the center’s NQAS certification, which is intended to reflect adherence to basic healthcare quality standards, the lack of basic medical equipment, unreliable infrastructure, and inconsistent supply of medicines are undermining the quality of care. I urge you to kindly address these issues at the earliest to ensure that CHC Sankoo can continue to provide high-quality care to its patients, as expected by the community and in line with national standards.
