Good performance. However there are massive distortions at least at 01:13-01:18 and furthermore at 15:05-15:33. That's a pity.

the interplay he writes really allows the opportunity to match or distinguish bowing styles between teacher & student--very cool!

so many musicological threads running through just those small rhetorical changes by Strauss, some pointing to composers, others I think influenced by competing styles from baroque toward romantic. the small scales, for example, I've seen in baroque staccati phrasing that 'lands' on chords, while just the chord appearances bye themselves should so otherworldly, aka romantic, favoring a more personal expressive style. Strauss is definitely a composer straddling the traditional and the expressive elements through most of his repertoire.

UPDATE zur Premiere: Die Uraufführung des Doppelkonzertes von Igor Loboda am 17.2.2022 muss leider wegen eines positiven PCR Tests im Orchester verschoben werden. Sobald es einen Ersatztermin gibt, werde ich ihn hier bekanntgeben!
