Cool video. Black pool is a cool airport to visit . I was told to taxi and park next to the Lancaster bomber last time I flew in. I thought they were joking, till I got off the taxi way! and there it was sitting there. Nice plane. Thanks for sharing. Let's pray we get good weather this month.

I never drink tea or coffee before flying. Will take some water and my endurance is about two hours…..I have had to request a landing before and it’s a bit embarrassing…

Good tip. 2 hours is about my limit as well but only when flying. I can manage a lot longer if I'm on a train for eg. I think some of it is nerves. Defo a middle aged man problem!

Really enjoyed this video. Combining a walk round the vicinity of the airfield with the flight itself makes for an interesting distinction from other PPL videos. Shobdon appears to be in the back of beyond but it is actually a busy and interesting place. It is rumoured that the SAS use it as an occasional base for parachute training, but I couldn't possibly comment on that. Good luck with your channel.

Annecy is my local airport in France, wish I had found your channel before and I would have come met you. Congratulations on taking the decision to fly in France and you are doing a good job. Annecy has the local rescue helicopter and they get priority so that may have been what happened as you called to taxi. Many people learn to fly and never use their aircraft apart from local flights so nice to see someone ‘getting out there’ and seeing what can be done. Well done.
