Calibrating the Teflon and Off-Contact on Your Stampinator

How to adjust your Teflon and off-contact on your Stampinator. If your teflon is loose and slack, it’ll pick up and not give you the matte feel you are looking for. When you flick the Teflon with your finger, it should sound like you’re hitting a stair drum. Use an 11/16th socket wrench. Another reason why your Stampinator might need calibration is because of off-contact. A straight edge and a ...

    So does it replace the flash unit?

    • @stampinator480
      @stampinator480 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. It does replace the flash. It can also be used for the final cure as well. It'll make the print soft and smooth, so the flash/final cure will feel different than a using a conveyor/traditional flash dryer.

    Can you still achieve full cure on press with the printgrip applied? Have you tested it? And does it affect the normal flashing temp or do you have to raise the temp slightly from the normal range?

    How does it work with regular cold peel DTF transfers? Supacolor just isn’t feasible for all jobs and pricing structures. Currently looking into getting a stampinator for our Freedom Express press.

    So it sticks when you’re curing it, but I thought it was also used to cure inks on press. I’m confused

    • @stampinator480
      @stampinator480 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same as a standard heat press: The ink is supposed to stick to the garment, not the heating element. If there is ink on the heating element, then it's under cured or over cured. This video shows how to stop that from happening.

    It's only a heat press tho..I have 3 heat press.i have a stand frame I can put in between press if I want to..so I don't get the hype on this machine Plus I heat press all my screen printing jobs after oven..only thing that is intriguing is u can use your 6 head screen printing machine like a multiple heat press ...other then that I don't get the hype........

      I’ve been eyeing this product for awhile and I think it is better than just a simple heat press for a few reasons: 1. You use it on press which saves an immense amount of time post oven heat pressing 2. You use it ONLY on the underbase-you get a very natural looking print that doesn’t have that “heat press” look to it but is still perfect (not to mention the gloss from teflon) 3. It appears to cover a larger surface area than a standard heat press

  • @davidgreen3953
    @davidgreen3953 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    U can just heat press your finally product and get same look..i have 3 heat presses .press all my screen printing jobs.....

  • @ThePingy27
    @ThePingy27 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Question about flashing, how do you prevent over flashing the under base? On a regular flash you’d make sure it reaches flash temp of around 250+ or so depending on the ink but on this the heat plate is already curing temp, is it really just make sure you don’t go over 3-7 seconds at 330? And whats the sweet spot for flashing and curing with the green rubber? Thanks

    Do you need an air compressor to run this? Would love a version that ran only on electricity.

    • @stampinator480
      @stampinator480 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Manual Stampinator does require air supply, a pancake compressor will do fine. The Stampinator we sell for automatic presses do not require a compressor however.

    So it take place of a flash and stamps?. I hear people having issues with stamping before flashing. How successful are you guys without a flash before the stamp?... is it about having the right settings?. I really want one for my roq

    • @stampinator480
      @stampinator480 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is all about the right settings for sure, it is a little harder to dial in than a flash because its direct contact, but the concept of dialing it in is the same, you have to be careful not to get the ink too hot and over flash, as well as not go too fast and under flash, you can tell by what happens on the Teflon on the stampinator, if you under flash it, the ink on the stamp is still wet, if you over flash it, the ink is cured, and if it is just perfect, there is no ink on the stamp. Once you play with it, you get the hang of it! Let us know if you have any other questions!
