I'm calling this for the bullsh*t that it is. It's impossible to get any kind of "high" from absinthe - a proven myth. The guy just paints images that we all THINK a certain drug is meant to make us feel.
Absinthe still gets you unbelievably fucked up and some people do genuinely report hallucinations.

This guy is fucking fascinating. He comes across as an idiot (he reminds me of Bruce from family guy) but his art reveals his mind to be pretty sharp. It's clear that the drug use has affected him (he admitted mild brain damage on his site).
It's probably the accent.
BetaMime the brain damage was minor and was fixed. Personally I believe Bryan has a very vivid and interesting artstyle with loads of potential. His accent disguises a very bright mind that creates art genuinely unlike anyone else. The brain damage he had suffered from his drugs art was easily fixed.
