I’m an interview i either read or watched with the band, Cole said it was weird to start writing slow songs for Deceiver and FIBL because a big part of their early live show was speeding these songs up into more rocking numbers, so it was an intentional thing, but yeah, this is *fast*.

to me it seems like the ending is edited in some way (I'm referring to the last note they hit at the end of the song). My reasoning for this is because A) it's played louder than the rest of the song (this possibly could have just been the engineer raising the volume but idk). B) the camera turns to colby as the it's played possibly because if they showed the other members they would have played something other than what we hear. C) it just sounds really unnatural to me as if someone added it in post production idk. The final note they all play comes in like less than a beat after the final note of the previous measure, which would be really weird timing to coordinate for the final note I have no real proof, the ending just seems really fishy to me idk

It actually sounds like the tempo is set higher than the recorded version on purpose. If you listen closely you hear that the delay time on both the lead guitar and bass are set to be faster than on the recording. Half way they do bump up the tempo even further though. Nevertheless I watched this performance by accident four years back and I was in awe.
Yes, it's one of the best late night performances I've ever seen. They killed this song - challenged themselves.
