Wild Dog Kill at Biyamiti Bush Camp
While visiting Biyamiti Bushveld Rest Camp to take pics for my 6th volume of Rest Camps Of The Kruger Park book series (The Bush Camps), we followed a pack of wild dogs hunting along the fence and my son Keaton Smook captured this footage of them killing a bushbuck right in front of the bungalows.

Worst safari of our stay in South Africa. Our guide seemed totally disinterested, told us nothing and couldn’t wait to get us back to camp. We later drove around in our own vehicle and saw many, many animals. Room was clean, bathrooms nice, quiet, restaurant and gift shoppe were good.
Sorry about the game drive dissapointment. Usually they are great. I think you were just unlucky.

We had the pleasure of staying at this camp. Our chalet overlooked the Sabie river. Dusk fell, prepared a braii, crickets chirping with elephants gathered at the river. Occasionally you could hear roar of a lion in the distance. Memories I will treasure forever. Highly recommend it. Love to go back some day.

Hi this is Mapule, which camps are closer to Johannesburg?
Hi mapule it would take you 5 hours to get to any rest camp but pretoriouskop is closer to numbi gate which is closer to Hazyview.
Its the closest to jhb, 430km

Skukuza rest camp is fantastic,I was there 2 years ago,in a bungalow.The personal was very kindly and the breakfest was delicious.The safari was amazing at 4 o clock in the morning.
