I took my car in because of a recall notice email from them regarding my braking system-work should have been done free of charge but it ended up being a huge headache costing me a lot of money and time wasted. They also STRANDED ME, so there was the added stress and cost of needing a babysitter last minute. My inspection was up so I agreed to an inspection as well (my mistake). My car started making noise a few days before so I asked the service department to look into that too. I figured they would have waited to do the inspection until the end because that makes the most sense to me-dumb move on my part, because they’re in it for the money and only the money. They took care of the recall and saw that my taillight was flickering (I didn’t know). They figured out it needed to be reassembled which obviously failed the inspection. Then they quoted me about a grand (!!!!) for more work that needed to be done (the noise) which was just ridiculous because I later got a quote from a place twenty minutes away for MUCH LESS. I told them not to do it, I would go to the other place instead. They told me I had less than an hour to come pick it up before the service department closed. They didn’t seem happy I was taking my business elsewhere. When I got there they had removed my inspection sticker, making it impossible for me to drive my car anywhere. I’m sure they noticed the taillight flickering before they even got to doing the inspection. They could have been honest and called me first about the noise problem and mentioned the flickering taillight before even starting the inspection. I would have told them not to do it. But since I stupidly agreed to it beforehand they went ahead and did it even though it was obviously going to fail. Again, I figured they’d be honest and wait to do it until after looking into what was wrong with the car and talking to me. I guess I just forgot that a lot of people in this world are run by greed and are only looking to make more money (“why do one inspection when we could do two?!”). So yeah I got charged the standard inspection fee ($37). But really, I paid $37 for me to be stranded outside their dealership for two hours while I waited for a tow truck to bring my car to the more trustworthy mechanic (who was highly recommended by the family member who financed my car when he used to work at this dealership). And I had to wait for a Lyft to come pick me up and take me home. Buy a car here if you want but don’t take it to the service department. WHAT A JOKE! It’s overpriced and you’ll get better customer service elsewhere. I’ve written 1 star reviews everywhere possible online about the service center here. Since I had the time to do it while I was stuck on the side of the road.
