Are you able to share the dollar amount for you investment without risking divorce?
The initial money spent was about $16k. I’d estimate anywhere from $1-$2 per pixel after shipping and the other equipment required to run it.
Do you think you can use a power injection pigtail from the main controller to power this, instead of running the PSU in the post?
Answering from another account. I’d only be worried about the amp drawing too much power. This is so far from the Falcon at my location that an extension cord makes may more sense. The button timer I’m sure draws minimal power. But the amp running for speakers…. Not sure I’d trust it from the controller.
@@ubuyadronellc361do you have a wiring diagram. Mine is acting all weird.
looks good. Im sure you over designed it lol. i do like the interactive fact
My Discord group was talking about you and this video today. Nice video and a great idea. Well done, you.
where does the sound come from is it downloaded into one of the modules or do u send the sound into the whole module via bluetooth
I have a 3.5mm cable ran from the Pi out to the amp. I don’t trust Bluetooth and potential latency.
@@ubuyadronellc361 what is the Pi
Can I ask where did you get the speakers?
Amazon - Just some Polk Marine Speakers. I have two on the pole and then run a line to the other side of the driveway and have two more speakers in the same fence post just laying horizontal instead.
How did you attached the pieces of coro board and the EMT to the candy cane. Is that just a zip tie through both?
Can you briefly explain purpose for the Ethernet switch
2 600 W power supplies in parallel how is that going to your pror and what gauge were you using
I would be very interested in this as well.
fabulous explanation thank you and gave me some ideas about my first display 😀
Where is the audio input coming from?
This is an excellent video! Thank you!!
That's is AWESOME!.. total noob here, but how do you get that to trigger the show? I love this idea and since I'm just getting started I think it would be a really neat element to have.
I'm going to guess the show is already running and all this does is kick on the sound that's currently playing.
Do you have a link to your amplifier you used?
The links to all the components are in the description.
@@thecompoundlights2412 thank you
Great video. I've subscribed to see the video about the speaker boxes too.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing your setup. Happy New Year!
You speakers stands are cool! Could you go into more detail of what parts are inside?
Sure, I will try and shoot another video this weekend and post it up. If you want to subscribe and turn on notifications that way you won't miss it.
Great video of your display, thank you for sharing it!
How long have you had that train for? How is it holding up in the Florida sun? Any idea how many "seasons" you should get from it before it fades out?
It was in the sun since Thanksgiving until the 1st. It faces the sun as it rises. There’s no sign of discoloration.
