The large view i used a suction cup mount on the nose cone of the kart centered up with the pedals and just hoped it came out looking good. The small video i used a suction cup mount on the steering wheel and got it just high enough to see over the nose cone. Any higher and the video becomes very shaky

were running 198cc motors, used to be harbor freight 6.5hp motors but they quit manufacturing them so we have to buy aftermarket blocks and piece them together, complete motors are about $250 and blueprinted, high horsepower motors are about $600-$700. my club runs the AKRA Rules

car was trashed, I literally just got home from rebuilding it, been working on it a little at a time ever since I flipped and bolted the last piece of lead weight on about 2 hours before posting this comment at 1-1:30am!!! Ill be racing at texas motor speedway next week during the irl weekend! look for the red and black 92 in the semi pro class if you go out there!!! :D

these are 1250 motors running around 10k rpm instead of 600's and 1000's running around 12-14k rpms. weve got a guy driving these cars that used to race minisprints and is struggling to figure out how to drive these lol Ill have to look him up, Ive never heard his name before... the body style is based off the old edmunds modifieds, all of the us legend cars are based on old school race cars!

well, i know the motors are almost like mini sprints. haha! me and my dad know a coupld of people that run them, and a guy by the name of Marvin Lough. who is just a straight badass in the sprint cars. i wonder how they chose these body styles.

yes they do! these are basically scaled down sprint cars with a funky looking body and gears. (I dont know how close a mini sprint is to an actual sprint car...) We have front axles, the same steering set up, the same pedal set up (gas is vertical, up and down. brake is horizontal, moving forward and backward on the floor), same rear axle brake, quickchange rearend.

ahh. gotcha. do these have the quickchange rearends?

yep, thats the same as my car has the headers set up. it always points away from me and dumps out behind me by an inch or so, so that could be why it doesnt seem as loud to me.

yeah, the one they had there had the header coming off the side going down the backstretch, so it was pointing at the fans of that makes sense. and i can see where you're coming from. haha.
