A brief history of Castles in Ethiopia. With the purpose of creating awareness on the architecture of the earlier Ethiopian Civilization, that at times seems to get less recognition. At least in the Western World. Ethiopian Castles, at times resembling the underdogs of castle engineering. In hopes of creating New light and with more acknowledgment this may awaken new ideas on this topic.
Keep up the good content, these videos are definitely needed during these times.

The castle if takha maryam was 5th-6th century ad axumite castle and was bigger than any European castle of the time sadly it was destroyed by the italians in ww2 they made a road on it

HI BROTHER WE HAVE CASTLES THAT ARE 1000 BC OLD IN AXUME YOU CAN FIND CASTLES IN GOJAM, WOLLO, GONDER, SHEWA, HARAR, ALL AROUND ETHIOPIA THEIR ARE ALSO UNDISCOVERED ANCIENT CITIES AND CASTLES WHICH WILL HAVE TO BE EXCAVATED WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF MONASTERY AND CHURCHES THAT ARE THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD WE HAVE MANY MANY CASTLES THAN YOU THINK WE HAVE BUT MOST OF THEM ARE RUINED BY WAR THE WESTERNS HATE US CUZ WE WERE BETTER THAN THEM BLACK PEOPLE ARE THE ANCIENT CIVILIZATION THAT IS FACT
