This was during boarding day. Most guests were not onboard yet.
Hey I was on that shop when you filmed this! Were you on the carnival celebration?
How cool! I was on the Mardi Gras when this was filmed.
Was this Oct 27? We were on that cruise!
Yes it was October 27-Nov 3, 2024. Did you have a wonderful time? Do you have another cruise booked?
@Timelapsebob we did have a wonderful time and we have 2 cruises booked in 2025, June and October. Both on Sunshine!
@monicareynolds8053 That is awesome! I hope you have a great time. I met my husand on the Sunshine!

My entire family from sweatwater McIntosh family and Putnam Sheffield. You didn't pass the city hall though and down through those parts. Thanks for video brings back memories and how long of drive it was.
I can make another Sweet Water video if you would like to bring back more memories! You can give me some street names, or I can explore on my own.

Hi ! What gorgeous water color !!! May I ask of the three ABC islands, which one was your favorite and why ? Ciao and cheers ! m.
Thank you for your question! My gosh, choosing a favorite might be impossible. I've been to Aruba three times, and I've gone to a new beach each time. Each beach was absolutely beautiful, and clean. Mangel Halto beach in Aruba was a favorite because it was remote, non-touristy, and abundant with wildlife including diving pelicans, fish, mangroves, crabs, and swimming island dogs. I also did a sunset catamaran tour in Aruba and saw sea turtles swimming by us. I've been to Curacao three times as well, but I haven't explored the island or the beaches. I have walked to the Willemstad downtown area each time. The route goes through historical Rif Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and over the floating Queen Emma pontoon bridge. The city is filled with shopping, food, and drink options. It's also filled with tourists. I plan to get out of the city on my next visit to Curacao in 2026. I have only been to Bonaire once. Klein Bonaire is a small uninhabited island located next to Bonaire. I chose to take a ferry to Klein Bonaire to experience the beach. The water was incredibly beautiful. There were pelicans on the beach. Most people were snorkeling. The ferry guides told us that it was nesting season for the sea turtles, so it was forbidden to dig in the sand or stick anything in the sand on the beach. When we returned from Klein Bonaire we walked and shopped in the downtown port area. It was clean, everyone was friendly, and it felt safe. I liked Bonaire a lot because it was less crowded. More than 100k people live on both Aruba and Curacao, with only about 20k people living in Bonaire. If you check out my "shorts" section you can see more clips from all the islands. Thanks again for watching and for your questions.
@@Timelapsebob Wonderful ! I couldn't have asked for a greater insight for the ABC's ! Plus I have never heard of Klein Bonaire - and looking at video's of it - both Bonaire and Klein are now on my vacation radar. We too have been to Aruba but only on a cruise day, still we rented a jeep and be-bopped all around enough to know we wanted to return for a land stay. Like you we went beach hunting and our heads were spinning, I love all the extra details on the other two islands, and I like the sound of Bonaire being smaller populated and perhaps less touristed... Have you been to the USVI's ? We honeymooned for 3 weeks on St. John and it was incredible !!! A great island in and of itself as well as a launching pad to take ferries to all the USVI's and BVI's. Yes, I hope we do meet you on a cruise someday - you are just the kind of person we enjoy on our cruising - friendly, extremely detailed/knowledgeable and kick back - oh yes, and a respectful cruise cabin neighbor too ! Cheers to you and yours ! m.
@marciasanguinetti3900 I'm so glad the information was helpful and not boring. Curacao also has a small sister-island named Klein Curacao, but it is about an hour long ferry ride away from Curacao. Perhaps someday I will make it there, as I love to island-hop! I have been to St. John three times and I love it! It must be amazing to stay there for three weeks! Every time I have been to St. Thomas I have chosen to go to St John for the day. I am going to St. Thomas in September and I may stay on the island for the first time. I am excited to go to St. Croix for the first time in October 2025. I've heard that there's "nothing" there, which sounds exactly like my kind of place. 😆 What part of the world do you reside in? I live in Alabama, USA, newly transplanted from New Hampshire, USA. Cheers!
@@Timelapsebob Great - more places for me to discover with that Klein Curacao ! You are the WEALTH of island knowledge so much more so that I ever could be but am bound and determined TO be :! . We'll have a friendly competition 🙂 You have discovered and have basked on the gorgeous beaches of St. John YAY ! We keep talking about seeing more of St. Thomas on every cruise we've been on to that part of the Caribbean but do we ever do it ? Noooooo like you we ferry over to St. John ;-) or do a catamaran snorkel-beach excursion which is even better. I can't wait to hear what you think of St. Thomas AND more important, St. Croix which looks geographically very unique. I do know they have a very popular out-island of the coast - the name eludes me but I bet you know it off the top of your beach-brain ! 😲 Being on St. John for 3 magnificent weeks was a once-in-a-lifer. The time went by so slowly too. We stayed at The Gallows which are condo's as we couldn't imagine eating all our meals out. Too much dressing up/even casually. So many days we spent snorkeling, swimming, body surfing yes we did get some red flag days and 'ignored' the flags - that is until the Barney Phife of Beach Patrols waved us in.... however much of the time they let us stay to body surf as they watched us and figured we knew what we were doing. Or else when we came in, the apologized and said they needed to have us abide by the rules so that other folks who may not have much experience in body surfing didn't follow suit. Makes sense ! Any who, after a day beaching it and hiking, etc. the last thing we wanted was to go anywhere other than our condo and cloth ourselves in shorts, T-shirt and flowy catans for me ! So we'd have nibbles like cheese, fresh bread from local bakeries, fruit, or BBQed fish we'd pick up at the local market. Also Gallows has a killer restaurant with an even more killer bar and view - so we'd stay onsite as it's all very casual. Now with Uber Eats and the like, we'd go back and enjoy more of Cruz Bay offerings. How lovely that you live in the beautiful and super friendly state of Alabama ! We've been there only once (in Mobile for a wedding), and your state is utterly lovely... As to us: We live in two places (we early retired and go back and forth between): Our primary home is in the California Bay Area in a small town known as Los Altos. We've lived here for 36 years and from where we commuted to work in Silicon Valley -- a whopping 10-minute Innercity commune ;-) because neither of us like spending our lives in a car going to and from work, and 2. our 'vacation getaway' home is on the central coast of California in a place called Pebble Beach which is about a 1-hour 20 minute drive to and from. We love this part of California (both places) because we do get 4 distinct seasons (no snow though, however the mountains around us do get annual snowfall so it is very pretty. Our weather is pretty ideal in both places I have to say and the people living in both places are friendly and active and chill too. I am born and raised in CA, and my husband Tim is a transplant from Joliet, IL -- having graduated from U of I - and he only interviewed in companies in northern CA as that is where he loved to visit most even as a small boy with his family many times. Geez Louise ! Shut up Marcia Ann, you are boring Bob ! OK your turn. Tell me more about Alabama and previous to that, living in New Hampshire -- your lives there plus how you got "the travel bug", and all that jazz 🙂 Cheers !!!
Your homes in California sound beautiful! Both areas you described sound very lovely. I will have to look up some videos of your towns. I have been to your state twice, with plans to visit again in early 2025. I marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2001, with my high school band. We stayed in Long Beach. They took us onboard the Queen Mary to have brunch one day. Now, as an avid cruiser, I think back and realize that She was the first cruise ship I ever stepped foot on! My second trip to CA was to help a friend move back across the country to New England in her tiny sedan. Sadly, I haven't seen much of your beautiful state, yet! In February 2025, my husband and I will cruise from Long Beach to Hawaii. I don't like to fly, so we drive all over the country to various cruise ports. My husband and I met on a cruise, and we are having our wedding on a cruise in September 2024. When we met I was living in New Hampshire and working in the medical field. The last hospital I worked in had a doctors lounge called "Pebble Beach" 🤭 My husband freed me from that life, and I am a house-husband. He gets ample time off work which allows us to travel often. Now if I could only get over this fear of flying, it would make things a tad easier 😄
Love your video title ! Great veranda - love how you would have more peace and quiet from adjacent veranda noise as it is so wide. May I ask if being next door to the steward storage area posed any disruption with their necessary comings and goings night and day time ? Thanks most kindly ad happy cruising !
Thank you for your question. The steward area is located behind the wall with the bed against it. There was some noise at times, but it wasn’t constant. I’ve stayed in this cabin 3 times and only once was the noise a bit disruptive, so I think it would also depend on which stewards happen to be working. There is also some noise from above, as this cabin is directly below the buffet. Carts could be heard rolling by overheard during the night. I didn’t mind, as I’d rather be hearing noise from the crew than from the other guests 😅 Happy cruising!
@@Timelapsebob Your so prompt and super helpful feedback is super appreciated !!! It's great that you've found just-the-right-cabin for you by returning there several times. I am with you - I'd rather hear crew noise any day than fellow travelers, who at times, forget there are other passengers on board and are clueless ;-) Also cruise-crew work so darn hard and with very little rest, so we are extra happy to meet them and give them some smile and laughter time ! Cheers to you and may all your cruises be The Best Ever until the next one 🙂 M.
@marciasanguinetti3900 I feel the same way about the crew members. They deserve more respect (and pay) than they receive. Cheers to you as well, and happy cruising! Perhaps someday we will find ourselves on a ship together!
@@Timelapsebob You've got that right kiddo - on all accounts !!! Ciao for now !!!
@@Timelapsebob Hey Bob ! Bob right ? Hey ! One more thing about your above comment as to the bed being directly against the steward area. I'd rather have that arrangement than to have the headboard of a guest room's bed abutting to ours, because I don't need or wish to hear other passenger's domestic noises LOL. Cheers and happy weekend !!!
WHAT COUNTRY IS THIS?
Bonaire
@@Timelapsebob is there a country such name? Or this is a province,a city,,,?
Bonaire is a Caribbean island in the Leeward Antilles (Southern Caribbean). It is a municipality of the Netherlands. It is located to the east of Curacao and north of Venezuela.

According to ship-technology.com, the MSC Seascape holds a capacity of 5,632 passengers and 1,648 crew members!
@@Timelapsebob That's CRAZY That's I stay in a town of 2700 people

These just seem like mega disasters waiting to happen

What ship are you on?
This balcony is on the Carnival Legend, Pride, Spirit, and Miracle. I am currently on the Carnival Horizon.
@@Timelapsebob I meant what ship was that one from; it’s really nice.
It is one of my favorite cabins because of that balcony, and it's close proximity to the buffet. This cabin can be found on the Carnival ships: Legend, Pride, Spirit, and Miracle. The cost is the same as the regular sized extended balconies.
Nice!
my girlfriend left on this cruise a few days ago :( i miss her sm
I hope you can go with her next time!
