It seems like people either loved or hated Meira Omar's song which would be the reason why it did not go directly to the final. Everyone I know hated it and thought it was the worst one while I enjoyed it.

I think Meira Omar suffered from competing with the melodifestivalen star John Lundvik and the world famous Maja Ivarsson (singer in the indie punk rock band The Sounds). She might also have suffered from the indcident when the camera man fell from the stage. I think she should have stopped and begun again, like Loreen did in 2023. And I agree with you that Meiras song is an ear worm. But for me personally, Maja was the winner of the night.

Meira has Afghan roots (one of her parents are from Afghanistan), I think "bia bia bia" means "come come come" in Dari (language spoken in Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan)

Meira's song was really good and the only one I remember. Total ear worm 🙂.

trust me the staging doesnt fit with all of us.this greek director of ours he was good at the back times but now i think he has to retire or proove me wrong,cause this song can be a masterpiece in staging if someone uses his imagination...if i can think of many options and the director keeps static then there s a problem...
