I really hope you respond given that this is an old video, but I eventually want to make my own back and side walls like this, but I am just wondering how hard the foam gets when everything is done. Does it harden up and become sturdy enough to use "forever"? Is it safe from pets claws and stuff?

bio dude plants are not that great

and honestly, without the sand addition on the top layer, wouldn’t this be a good substrate/setup for a leopard gecko? a bit big but i’m mostly referring to the substrate and plants

Hopefully you added a water bowl and feed with a bowl. Also if you haven’t learned since this. Always break up the roots from potted plants or they will become root bound and die. Sherpa does that if you’ve seen.

It look really great, but there are tons of artificial materials including the silicone. Also UVB light is missing.

What’s the point for the dry loc?

So when your substrate eventually becomes dry, although it has sand on top of it how would you go about rehydrating the substrate? Would i just spray water on top of the sand/substrate? Could i mix the sand in with my substrate mix instead of using it as a top layer as well?

Nice video but isn‘t that enclosure a bit too small vor a veiled chameleon 😬 Makes me a bit sad! Also… veiled chams are more on the dryer side. In parts of the yemen the humidity is about 30-50 %. So… ferns are not really suitable… 😬

Hi! I watched this becuase I was thinking about getting substrate for my beardie so she can dig. The only problem im seeing is how do you clean up thier poop? My bearded dragon does really liquid poops sometimes, wich I can imagine would be hard to clean up. Great video!

I did the same thing with a 3 inch round cork tube stuck to the walls so the crested has just enough room to get in but not so much i can't get to him if necessary. Best decision I made.. awesome build bud.

*Very* surprised to see a cryptanthus in an arid enclosure. You usually see those in tropical setups.

When I tried this my pump is too weak to send water up

mine just died i went on vacation came home and he was a skeleton i was gone 6 days. ikno my fruit flies had to have cleaned him up but what sucks is ill never know what happened to him. i recused him from an abusive home they tried to literally kill it with fire and stomped on it cracking its skull open at the jaw nursed him back to full health in less than a year had him 3 almost 4 years now and then this.
