The song says it is quite a challenge being a youth in our world. Quite a few youths never makeit into adulthood safely. The lucky ones make through as easily as growing up during pre-teen years. But be happy, it says. It is a blessing to be one.

The idea here is that, "Do your own thing", and live me out of it. The value here is to express one to focus on their own talents as they are endowed with, and best performance.
