Don't assume an F-104 should dogfight you, it can't.
I've spent more time than I should playing Ariete and this is pretty much the only way to deal with 104's. Ariete is to agile for them to hit, but 104's are to fast to counter them once they miss. Solution? Dodge down but just enough so they would take a bait and see how they yeet themselves into the ground
