Throw open the doors of your house

It’s time to welcome the guests

What happens is anyone’s guess

Oh I’ve been scared of you
If I’m being honest

And you’ve been scared of me, too

Are first lining up to be blessed

"Learn to Lose" - Short film featuring music by Diane Cluck & Danny Paul Grody
มุมมอง 1.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Artists Billy Joe Miller and Kahren Hipscher created this visual accompaniment to an early version of Diane Cluck’s song "Learn to Lose." The artists also worked with the instrumentals “Dawn” and “On Leaving” by Danny Paul Grody to make short related meditations. At times abstract or light-based, the video reflects on themes of loss, relationship to uncertainty, isolation, and deep transformati...

I always walk through the forest like that too
Very peculiar. Love it
Varım yaşıyorum ve ne yazık ki varım yaşıyorum kahrolası bir hüzün içerisinde saraaaa
2021 there appeared a song bout kali by robbie basho
I think this song is about being attached to a toxic person named Sara who drew you in and then manipulated you and took from you and broke your heart. But it’s also about seeking mercy and finding healing.
wtf?
7 downvotes, 7 people going to hell.
woah i just discovered this while in a deep rabbit hole searching for neo folk music.. i love your voice so much oh my goodness
Stunning. x

Beautiful!
I love this so much! Beautiful!
Is it waves or ways
I really enjoyed this... a creative use of the original
Friends, it's Diane Cluck. You can pre-order/support my new album Common Wealth now through December 16th, 2019 at dianecluck.info 💛 Thank you!
I'm super late to the party, but this has got to be the most gorgeous song I've ever heard in my life! Pure magic! 💃🎶
Pure Beaty... voice, tune and the hands’ dance!! I think it’s the Sumerian myth of Ereshkigal that went down to the underworld... or the myth of Persephone who was living 6 months down to Adis and 6 months on the upper world!
Great song! You can check out the cover we did : th-cam.com/video/jbXHiDo9EGg/w-d-xo.html We're a band from France, the "Collectif Acoustique Brestois", only playing acoustically, meaning without any amplification, Thank you Diane Cluck for writing this song.
One of the most important contemporary folk artists. Diane Cluck and Joanna Newsom are the best! I hope you come to Chicago sometime!
nice
I just love it.It moved me this song and inspired me to write this soundcloud.com/deborahhalliwell/solstice-song
had to come back and watch this again. brilliant. as if delivered by spirits to a siren.
i love you d
you remind me of annie dillard :)
the Inanna story - haunting beauty
Pure beauty and fineness..
This song is incredible. Wonderful.
As they say beauty is only skin deep slong
This song envolks, forrgotton, feelings stir the still of the night haunting every word a mystery with words it haunts. One day I will know my heary
this is so beautiful and symbolic, you're truly amazing
Beautiful song and video! I'm so very curious. Is there a link between the goddesses Kali, Ereshkigal and the name Sara that I don't know of?
Hi, Sara Eden. It was a thread I felt/found while visiting the Church of St. Sara in the Camargue. Her swarthy, leveling gaze in portrait there has a Kali-like quality, and I'd recently heard the story of Ereskigal/Inanna. Surrender to destruction...or be destroyed! is the link I perceive. 'Glad you've enjoyed the song & video!
Diane... thank you so very much for being an outlet of emotion for me... This song speaks very closely to my soul, it means more to me than I could ever put into words..
+Stephanos Giorgiou, im shocked you would leave such a disparaging comment. You yourself are annoying and make us all cringe
and im serious, Diane Cluck you've just made a fan for life from me and I will turn on others from the pagan community to this.
im in love
This song and the singer have that unmistakable quality of authentic talent: music that is made from spirit and pure intuitive feeling. Poetry never fades because the human soul recognises it instantly; we really know when we are being sold cheap things and lies no matter how pretty the package; so when truth is presented it startles and enriches. Thank you Diane for your lovely piercing music and your truth.
Yes ♥♥♥♥
@@Nightbrrd tasty little fairy tale toon should be sang to enrich tales to our Irish youths
I first met Diane in what was our Senior year at High School. I was convinced to try out for the Spring Musical "Mame". She was an extraordinary person with a giant soul. Uplifting and encouraging to a newb like myself. I only wish I would have gotten involved the productions years earlier. Best experience I had in my HS career. -- "Uncle Jeff"...
absolutely beautiful. tears to my eyes. so glad to hear u again. i slept on this one
Introduced to this lady by an also awesome lady <3 this moves me in a way i cant describe
Outstanding - as to be expected with Diane. Haunting and comforting at the same time. The substance of the ineffable. So, so beautiful...
pure poetry, highly evocative, pure brilliant tones, stunning visuals. Thank you.
I love this, I love this, I love this.
gorgeous! <3
This is so delicate and lovely! Great job on this video.
wow
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you.
Everything about this song is so beautiful except the way she ends the verse (the na na na bit). It makes me cringe every time. Really one of the most beautiful songs but I can't enjoy it because of that awful little melody.
Inanna is an important part of the story.
DianeCluckVideo I was hoping you'd remake it without them, especially for me :) xx
Stephanos Georgiou how incredibly rude, entitled and privileged of you to say this
I think the song is absolutely perfect
Lol Stephanos, she is saying “Inanna” as in the Mesopotamian goddess of love and justice. Obviously a whole contrast to the other figures in the song and changes the entire narrative with the presence of inanna. It does feel a little awkward at first phonetically, but the way the name was added lyrically was pretty clever haha
This deserves so much more.
DIANE CLUCK!?
Lovely melody, this was on Radio 3 the other night and it's really stuck with me. Love your vocal.
