A brief history of Indian movies from the first one to RRR
I watched the Indian film RRR and it prompted me to learn more about Indian cinema. If "RRR" has sparked an outsider's curiosity in India, then the filmmakers can consider themselves winners.
In this short video, I will be discussing the cinema of a country that loves art and cinema more than food at times. In India, movies are everything!

No, this is a load of offensive, demeaning, confusing, made-up hogwash. Please ignore this. Just call them Indian movies. If you want to be specific about language, they are Hindi films and Marathi films and Malayalam films and Bengali films and Tamil films and Telugu films and so on. Please don't use the ****wood nicknames under any circumstances. Yes, "Bollywood" is used a lot. Even so. Most of us hate this, including actors in Hindi films (what Bollywood refers to). Just don't use the terms. The rest of the stuff is crap, just made up by these posters. Tollywood can refer to Bengali cinema (after Tollygunge area in Bengal), but now has been hijacked by the more famous Telugu cinema. Reasons to stop: 1. Demeaning and derivative of Hollywood, and doesn't apply to the many places in India films are made 2. Hides the real name of the language (e.g. using Tollywood nobody ever learns the word 'Telugu') 3. Confusing as hell as many same italics and impossible to cover the hundreds of Indian languages 4. Nobody could possibly keep track of this meaningless idiocy with often no connection to the name of the language.
RRR is not a Bollywood movie. It's a Telugu movie
You have Banshees of Inisherin overlapping footage from Elvis Movie. The 'opinion' of others about Elvis very low? They couldn't have watched the movie and the massive talent that it took to create this movie. Elvis was a Masterpiece. Baz Luhrman is a brilliant Director. Catherine Martin - brilliantly talented. Watch the movie before just setting an opinion. And then, watch it again. Good luck to Elvis Oscars --- my guess ... at minimum three Oscars if you can't spare more across the board.

For actress, it has to be Cate Blanchett because she is Lydia Tar and for doing that, Cate has to learn how to be a conductor and actually did it with a real orchestra. For Michelle Yeoh, she was just a sci-fi version of kung fu fighter and nothing special but showing anger. Cate in Tar has much more depths and is so convincing that viewers believe that Tar is a real person.
