Coalition for College
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 ก.ย. 2018
The Coalition for College is a member organization of more than 170 colleges and universities, with a shared commitment to access, affordability and student success. Coalition membership creates opportunities for these schools to collaborate in helping students learn about, prepare for and apply to college, especially students from communities that are historically underrepresented in higher education.
All About Testing
Standardized tests can play a crucial role in the college admissions process for some colleges and may not play a role at all for others. In this recording, you'll hear admissions counselors answer questions about planning and preparing to take the ACT or the SAT, whether to submit test scores to test-optional schools, and more.
Featuring admissions counselors from: Bates College, Drexel University, Washington University in St. Louis and Wesleyan University.

Thank u
Completely ridiculous. Tons of fine print which do nothing but confuse people. Confusing incoming students makes them more malleable and controllable.
This deserves awards.
Hello, can please guide me through on how to upload my required documents for Clark University using Scoir app
Hi there, thanks for reaching out with this question. This is one that our partners at Scoir can best answer. Please submit a Help Ticket here, which will collect the information they need to assist you: www.scoir.com/support
The application won't allow me to sign which prevents submission
We know this is frustrating and you are not alone! We encourage you to keep trying and notify financial aid offices at the schools in which you or your student is applying and try to get in touch with federal student aid. They may be able to offer you troubleshooting tips and these issues will hopefully be fixed shortly.
But sometimes the apply icon doesn’t apper.
Hi there, if you're still having issues, we recommend connecting with Scoir for help. You can do that here: www.scoir.com/contact-us
I am intel student, I have SAT fee waiver but it still directs me to payment on CSS profile
same here. @CoalitionforCollege dont you know how to fix it?
I don't get the fee waiver option

Please share your website link,i have a one questions Coalition app and scoir is same?i couldn’t find Your coalition app site?
Hi there! The Coalition Application is available within the Scoir platform. Here is the link to our website where you can follow the button in the top right hand corner to create your Scoir account! www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org/
@@CoalitionforCollege my questions when i go this website and create coalition account i face some problem, number one problem "create a scoir account " scoir or coalition same?
@mhraju5740 Yes, you're in the right place! You can apply to Coalition schools using a Scoir account.
@@CoalitionforCollege 1)your youtube channel have any full length video where A to Z College application procces as a international students? 2)As a international students coalitionapp with scoir application free?
To your first question, not a video, but here's a guide: www.scoir.com/students/first-year-applications-non-linked-or-international To the second question, some of our schools extend fee waivers to international students. When you fill out the fee waiver section, you'll be able to see a personalized list of which schools that will make a fee waiver available to you based on your information. You'll then bypass payment when you submit Part 2. If you don't qualify through our process, you can always reach out to a school directly for a waiver, which you would then be able to share on Part 2.
Can International students apply too using the Coalition App?
I don't get the rationale behind looking at the educational level of the candidate's parents or family members. This is irrelevant, there is no scientific evidence proves a student can succeed in a specific program if their parents achieved a high academic pedigree. A student can achieve a distinction if they have the passion and talent even if both parents are illiterate. Why we have to add that social stratification into the academic system? It's pathetic.
Being first generation is actually a benefit in the college admissions process where you're often more likely to get accepted into a university if your parents don't have any higher institute degree. The reason for this is the same reason behind Affirmative Action, it's meant to break people out of generational poverty and help grow wealth for them.
They had more support overall in their life. If I had to choose someone who had to raise themselves and had stupid abusive parents and had a 3.5 versus a wealthy student with PHD parents who could support them through so many issues and git a 3.9 or 4.0 I would choose the former as they can handle shit. The latter may be able to but we do not know.
Nice

Sure you evaluate our "lived experiences," but what about our non-lived experiences? Like, I once dreamed I was a 17th century cockney chimney sweep. Does that come into play in your holistic evaluation?
