No internal combustion engines after 2026? Wow. I think that would be a mistake if that is indeed their plan. Mineral realities of EVs just don't look good. Not to mention the economies around owning an EV. They just don't work right now. Finance a regular car and at the end of the 4 year term you can sell that car for half of what you paid for it still. Do the same with the EV and you have a liability not an asset. Audi told me it costs 40 thousand to replace a battery. So buy a 80 thousand dollar petrol car and you have a 40k asset at the end of the finance term. Equivalent scenario with an EV and you get a 40k bill at the end of your term. I don't know. Seems kind of risky.
