The sheath shown is for a M1912 picket pin. Bannerman apparently had a bunch of them and a number of scabbardless Krag bayonets that they sold together. They are sometimes erroneously sold as a cavalry bayonet.

The Krag is one of, if not my favorite bolt actions of all time. The US really should've considered modernizing it by adding a second locking lug to the bolt and make speedloaders for it, in the same way the Norwegians did. My Springfield Krag was what I got my first whitetail with, And It's a treasure in my collection.

Used those in the 90s marines too but the case was different, shovel “multitool” was the same

Swedish military still use these to this date. Called KLAS, stands for ”Kort Liten Attack Spade” translated to “short little attack shovel”
