3 years later this video pops up in my feed. I've used many different brands of spinners. (blue fox, mepps, savage gear, abu garcia, jaxon, kinetic, favorite) I personally find that you can catch any fish on a size 1 mepps agalia silver, gold or copper. I have had perch from 5cm-40cm on it, brown trout from 10cm-40+, rainbow trout from only 1lb all the way to 7lb. I have had baby pike on them and I have had pike around 10lbs take them. In my opinion a close second (and a much cheaper option) would be savage gear rotex spinners. You can buy a box of 10 for around 20 euro if you look in the right places.

Interesting video I love Mepps spinners. For Lakeland Perch and indeed pike they often save the day. Salmo Hornets and Mepps are my go to lures.

They are awesome fish catchers! Trout, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill etc. I’ve have used them since 13 years old and still do at 76 years young!🌈

Nobody ever taught you about over handling trout that you plan to throw back? It can ruin the natural slime and make them sick

Since they have been around since 1933 I'd say they work pretty darn good.

I bought mine back in 2009, mainly for jerkbaiting for pike, and... I still use it today. 😃 I caught hundreds of kilogramms of pike with it. My biggest fish was a wels catfish about 20 kg, three years ago. Little shaky now, but still working. Good reel.

Mepps aglia for trout and mepps lusox for pike have been my favorites lures since for over 40 years and i have no intention of changing.😊😊 Have a good day.

May be a 22 caliber but not a 22 mag

they are great for perch and pike too. Some chub will also take them too which is always a nice bonus when they do!
