The Hornbill Festival, often referred to as the "Festival of Festivals," is a vibrant celebration of Nagaland's rich cultural heritage. The 25th edition, held from December 1 to 10, 2024, at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, attracted over 1.73 lakh attendees, including more than 2,375 international visitors.
This year's festival showcased the traditions of Nagaland's 18 indigenous tribes through cultural performances, traditional games, and authentic Naga cuisine. The event was inaugurated by Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, alongside representatives from partner countries such as the UK, USA, Japan, and Peru, as well as Indian state partners Telangana and Sikkim.
A highlight of the festival was the Hornbill International Music Festival, which blended modern music with traditional cultural elements, offering a unique experience for attendees.
