Love Jimi's voice. Best ever. Inducted into the Memphis Rock Hall of Fame, 10/12/23, and the bass player of his band in this video, Jeff Adams, honored him at the induction along with Jim Peterik, Survivor co-founder. Jimi's unmistakable voice lasted into his early 60's and he had many outstanding CDs. Such a great loss to rock music but he lives on in the videos and our hearts.😍

This was fun, but I will always prefer David Allen Coe's version where he gives credit to Steve Goodman the genius lyricist who actually wrote the song instead of not even mentioning his name..."You never even call me by my name" is so appropriate.

I love he sang the song here in a slower tempo and richer, deeper voice, which made it sound a little like classic music, full of emotions and feelings. So touching! I think he could have been a classic musician singer if he had chosen to. He got the potential. Such a talent! Miss him ~~I wish I ‘d had a chance to go to one of his concerts. If he had toured to Taiwan after in Japan in 1985, I’d be there. Or take a plane to where he had the concert.It must have been amazing~~ Thanks for sharing this video.
