Our vision is to be an equitable community that is walkable, healthy, and accessible for everyone.
Honoring the Atfalati Kalapuya: Tigard’s Proclamation for National American Indian Heritage Month
🌎 In honor of National American Indian Heritage Month, the Tigard City Council issued a proclamation to recognize and celebrate the heritage and contributions of Indigenous communities. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, John George, and Dr. David Lewis for presenting to the council at last night’s meeting.
They honored the First Peoples of Tigard, the Atfalati Kalapuya, by sharing the rich history and cultural impact of the tribes in this region. We are grateful for their friendship and for helping Tigard honor this important heritage.

I go to metzger I’m in grade 3
90.0 😊😊😅😅99b😅the 😅p😅😅82mm 9th 9th 9th 😅November 😊😅
I tried mine as you teached and it worked
It's not very tight, i used a wrench to turn it on. And i am not sure if the vavles are different, mine goes 90 degree rather than 180.
You saved me!! Thank you so so much!!
Thank you! I figured it would be simple but still, would like to see if a profesional has insight. The wrench and screwdriver is a neat trick
Thanks man
Is there a valve behind the water meter beside the one
Don’t have that kinda. Have a Badger Me type
Not a resident of your town, but that’s a nice simple explanation for the typical meter
Of course there’s a tool no one has in order to do it
It's funny cuz I actually just happen to have this tool laying around. I never knew what it was or where it came from. Imagine that.. for the record, later on in the video he gives another method on how you can do it without the tool. Cuz... the more you know...
If it takes 35 years, this video should explain progress milestones, so citizens can judge the project while they are actually still alive.
Excellent, thanks!
Thank you for this instruction.

😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😅😅
If you live in Austin, you cannot turn on/off your own water at the meter. Nor can your plumber. Just learned that today! You have to call City Water. If you want this ability, you have to pay a plumber to install a customer cut-off valve (which is usually less than $500 I heard).
Yes you can :)
I have explicit experience in 2021 with 2 Austin City Utility guys + 1 plumber that says nope.
@@Masongt-w7r correct you are. You certainly can lol. Whether or not you should... is a personal decision. Not for me to judge😁
Thanks! Didn’t have a tool and it wouldn’t budge. I used a little pb blaster watched your video then used the crescent wrench and screwdriver combo! It did the the trick! Now I can patch my cracked frozen hose spigot until I can get a plumber.
Thank you from Texas~
This video saved me a lot of future headaches tonight.
Thanks to this, A lot!!!!!
You're welcome!
wait we got a new princable wow its been a long time since ive been there
yeah its ms swindell now a girl
ooops!!! This wasn't on my calendar!!!
Keep up the good work!
Rip Ferguson
Thank you
You're welcome
Where is Scholls Ferry/Fanno Creek flooding/crossing survey?
The survey is closed, but you can still see the project page here: www.engage.tigard-or.gov/crossing
Very instructional! Every homeowner should know this!
Oh for the love of God. Enough with the “systematic racism”. It’s not even a real thing. Get a grip, Mayor! 😡
Now is the time to implement that small team of mental health professionals to service our communities in severe need.
Who posted this on the city TH-cam channel? Why is there no audio? What am I watching?
Change the audio input on the computer from "internal microphone" to "external" There is no way that mic is producing that audio
Thanks
It was fun to watch Mayor Snider and those he talked with.
This is incredible. Well done!
I just voted Yes on the Measure (as did my family). We need a 21st century infrastructure to attract new development. Either we get it this way, or some developer will want a more favorable tax break that doesn't account for increases in land value. Tigard will grow. That much is guaranteed.
You need to consider cleaning your drinking water distribution mains with our new NO-DES technology. NO-DES can clean your mains much more efficiently than all other methods - plus it saves all that water that you’re wasting when hydrant flushing! NO-DES improves water quality by filtering it with one micron absolute filters, and because NO-DES saves all that precious and expensive water; it pays for itself! Your informed customers will now ask why you are still wasting their water when you could be conserving it and making it cleaner and safer www.no-des.com
How does the plan address homelessness?
Hey Spud, there are two objectives in the proposed Tigard Triangle Urban Renewal Plan that address the region’s affordable housing crisis. One is to “support the development of mixed-use buildings that provide a variety of housing types and storefront spaces for a range of commercial and community needs.” The other is to “assist in the development of affordable and workforce housing.” If the proposed plan is approved by voters, it will guide decisions makers to spend urban renewal dollars in ways that support these objectives. In addition, the Tigard City Council goals for 2017-2018 indicate further council discussion and policy direction regarding Affordable Housing and Homelessness for all of Tigard. Please don’t hesitate to be in touch if you have further questions: urbanrenewal@tigard-or.gov
No.
This is a waste of my property taxes and does not benefit me at all.
