in 2007 we started a series of mountain concerts in collabaoration with the vibrant mileu of parachuters and hang/para gliders in Voss. This first one was in collaboration with sculptor Peder Istad who made the stage at the edge og the Hangur mountain.

This is a short movie filmed by Annar Bjørgli in 2014 at Madstun, a site for creative processes in Southern Norway. It is a brief presentation of Batagraf and how we approached the Mbalax drums at the time. Batagraf is in constant development and works like a research lab, where we dive into elastic rhythm concepts, using language as inspiration, and playing technique development.

There are very few musician who I hold in such high regard as you sir Helge Andreas Norbakken and the likes of Magnetic North Orchestra. Being a percussionist myself I just feel immensely inspired and uplifted with any album of any artist that you recorded.
