Thank you for your nice words towards my work, I really appreciate it ❤ I do really love recording these sessions so I’m glad you have a nice time watching them 😊 Oil pastel love it, so nice buttery texture isn’t it? In the past I learned how to paint by painting in oils mostly landscapes. I barely painted figures. It helped me with time to have a place (paper/sketchbook) to do lines more freely even if proportions weren’t accurate. It helped also just having fun (I know it can be frustrating and kind of cliché but it did) Learning how to paint/draw figures by painting other things helps too because, in my opinion, other variables are in play when painting. I would love to know how your sketchbook practice is going I am so curious 😊🤓🥰

@ both! I have a tiny palette for on the go, that’s dry. And another one for my home/studio that’s wet. :)

How about you? Do you like it dry or wet?

@@InkNSap 😊 I like it mostly in its wet version because I like to have my brush loaded with paint, but it is easier to have it dry on the go I think too… for a more easy setup

@ las uso en life drawing, oh pues tengo las de grafito, la blanca y un set de ocres y sanguine. Son excelentes de verdad, tengo que usarlas más. Es muy buena idea lo de ponerla en una cajita para llevarlas contigo! A veces me da miedo q se me partan y por eso poco viajo con ellas. Yo tengo la latica de art Graf grafito para pintar cuando salgo.

@ Pues, I have different sketchbooks, my nature journal is a 100% cotton watercolour sketchbook, but my doodling/thinking/annotating is either a talens art creation or a hanehmule d&s. No te porque te respondí en inglés jajaja. Uso una paletita para el gouache, el micro-painter, y lo uso seco. He intentado llevarlo en esa que tienes pero se me seca porque no uso gouache con mucha frecuencia. X. Tina

@ me ha encantado lo de: “Pues I have different sketchbooks” :D gracias por compartir. Si decides volver a usar esa paleta con gouache puedes intentar echarle un poco de agua con un spray de vez en cuando para que se mantenga, pero el gouache seco me parece muy práctico para usar con un cuaderno de acuarela.

Oh nice! Thank you! Love a minimal and functional kit 😃 sometimes I try to sketch with a pen (I have this black gel pen from Muji) and it is so hard 😅 so I end up by don’t caring that much about the final result and totally do whatever lines I can 🫠. At the end the result is funny and quite bad 😃🤓

@ I think if you prefer the nice proper type drawings with shading and all, ballpoint pen is more suitable than gel pen. I use gel pen for very graphical type of sketches like straightforward lines and wonky doodles haha.

@ oh and I also LOVE Blackwing pencil. It is Magic like you said haha

I’m glad it was helpful 😊 I’m curious, what kind of art supplies do you like to pack? 😊☀️🖍️ I think also that it is totally legit to pack a full backpack of art supplies for going out if you need to, so I guess it is more of packing for feeling comfortable and happy with what you take with you to actually sketch and not feeling overwhelmed by materials.
