Fantastic video
Vibrant and new , the decor brings back the memories, these days you see a lot of lost souls keeping cool or warm filling in time !
Wasn't it the first "shopping centre" to sell fuel from a bowser as well ? Shell I think from memory
Those precious memories, just love them. Fantastic music to match ♥️
good memories i remember the opening
Brought back a few good memories when i worked there at Roger david, opposite Waltons if I'm right.
This was not Northland mall: I should know, I drew the darn thing with the skill of a certified draftsman. DAMN!
No this is in Victoria Australia. The first undercover shopping centre to open in the Southern Hemisphere on 4th October 1966. I started work there in a large department store in my first job when I was 17 years old. Great to see. It is still there.
@@dianneandkevin , wow, thanks!
Look at all the racist mfs shopping😂
Love this song, love the band footage, thank you! :)
What the actual
ThatFancyMoos fuck
You used to work there didn't you John, do you still collect record records ,cheers mate!?
Only losers live in that area.
Says the loser who bothered to click on the video, and post a comment, just to - ironically - call others "losers".
@@ozlass7778Well said Ozlass.
This needs more views!
Last days of Northland Center. It is s shadow of what it was. Sad.
7 more days till Macys closes and the rest of the mall to follow shortly.
this is so awesome!!! i hope you can find the time to upload the footage! id love to see it, being born in the 90's id love to see it all from back then. what foortage have you got? any of bundoora, and more of reservoir n preston?? :)
wow I remember being with my mum outside Northland and she was wearing a 60s floral dress and I was sitting on those circular concrete sculptures and planters eating ice cream waiting for the bus!
sublime!
@baul104 this is Northland Centre outside of Melbourne, not Northland Mall outside of Detroit. I thought is was the Mall until I saw MYER, which I knew is an Australian department store.
This is why it's important to be concise while titling YT videos.
It's actually not outside of Melbourne. It's in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. And if you actually read the description of the video, it says that it is Northland Shopping Centre in East Preston. Unfortunately though, some fools don't bother to read beyond the title. And then blame others for the confusion.
I see that I'm not the only one who knew that wasn't the requested mall. And I was concise.
Who's the vivisection breath playin' that beautiful ol' Fender Telecaster ? - Pity he was down in the mix. The wee bits I could hear sounded great. Tch ! - On ya laddies!
@AccordionManiac Oh ok. Well this was definitely from before 1985 that's for sure.
Needs more Lieber.
@sengelle then according to imdb in Australia it was released January 1984
@EastPreston you're sitting on a youtube goldmine
Ok I just saw an advertisement for helicopter schools on this video at the bottom - "send for information on helicopter schools in your area!" LOL! What a strange out of place thing to see on a music video....but then it fits in with Uriah Heep in a way, doesn't it!
@AccordionManiac This must've been from late 1982 or early 1983 because I paused the video at 11 seconds and one of the movies that was on the sign was "The Toy" and the release date, according to Wikipedia, was December 10 1982 (This was probably the American release date).
This is incredible! Love watching these old videos :)
@LBOY1995 Shut the Fuck up Panzy.
great interview. thanks!
Love it.. This band was so fantastic to see live... great music and so entertaining
I cant hear it!
cool vid man. thanks for uploading it
yeah! Just curious, have you got any other stuff of Preston Market, PANCH of Campbellfield Shopping (before the plaza)? I'm hunting like crazy around on the net but can't find anything
Wow back in the day of PANCH ;-)
Plenty Rd's changed heaps. Got any more like this?
wow When was this??
well u must b the only good one lol joking..it all the ones who live rite next door to northland and in those comminsion houses
chrisbrown112 Seriously, with your very poor standard of English language skills, you really shouldn't be trying to claim some sad level of superiority over housing commission tenants. Or anyone else, for that matter.
good vid im favouriting this cool vid (Y)
unfortbaklyt it doesntlook like that now just a lot of druggos northland sec collage kid theifs..and other scum
Wow! An illiterate idiot who obviously didn't pay attention in school, had the audacity to call other people "scum" etc. 😂😂😂 Pot.. kettle..
Its also sampled on Scooter's 1997 Album "The Age of Love" under the track "return of the future"
It's 'Naked and Ashamed' by Dylan Rhymes. It's available on a few compilations, including one called "Big Dirty Beats".
Hey who made this tune? Always thought it was great!
these guys were great. the lead singer now runs the night cat and the blue diamond. a svelt dude
wow, its changed allot since then... o.o
This drive-in was the Hoyts Preston Drive-in, located on Plenty Rd Reservoir. Drive-ins often took the name of the nearest well know suburb and as Preston was one of Australia's first it was thought calling it Preston would give greater recognition. Ironically Village Reservoir Drive-in was in Thomastown!
bahaha i love that place
