    Just did an oil change last night with 10w40 full synthetic. I noticed my engine runs cooler

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ytcreator5846 just for clarification for others that might be interested, how much cooler, was it under the same load (idle, load, same towing weight) and how did you take these temperature measurements (heat gun on the oil lines, engine, engine fill area or filter). Not sure if you’re aware or others that may want to know, the first number such as 10w is the viscosity at cooler temperatures and 30 or 40 refers to viscosity at hot temperatures and will be thicker the higher the number. Changing velocity can change fuel economy and could cause lubrication deficiencies by differing from engineering specifications. The thicker oil might be dissipating more heat without maxing out its heat absorbing potential. I don’t have any temperature problems as is (weather in central California summer is high 98-112) but I also don’t do any heavy towing; maybe a few times a year for yard stuff. That being said, this truck has towed 20’ fiberglass haul boats and trailers up steep grades (before replacing it with newer vehicles) and never overheated in its heyday.

Somehow the dash had faulted when I started my car, I think they shorted the terminals. I couldn’t find anything and was really worried it was going to be an expensive shop visit. Luckily I researched what the fuses were hooked up to and decided to use process of elimination on the easy stuff was worth a try. That fuse was hardest to test and easily overlooked since it’s covered. I found that the dealerships use this to keep the battery from draining and found out what it exactly turned off. @@1EVE1X no, it wasn’t my fault both times. My car got hit in the parking lot by a semi truck 🚛 that cut the corner too close. Paint was never fixed right and keeps peeling on the bumper to the frame gap after 5+ times of repaint for weeks at a time. Mine is also a base model automatic and I have that. The gap seam areas on mine are flawless, but that’s the problem. I should’ve been more clear about not shooting them. I actually shot them at a cardboard target for barrel testing but nothing at a distance nor with a proper setup to gauge accuracy and impact; which is why I said I didn’t use them yet. You can see in the background, distance wasn’t available to really see proper results. I just wanted people to be informed of what I could inspect before they commit to buying a larger supply since I knew my testing wouldn’t happen soon. • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Intro shows them getting aired up. If you’re looking for a factory ride feel don’t buy these. Most people who buy these want to air down when they what a lower truck and air up when they need to use them as a truck. They are more bouncy if you jump on the back under low pressure 25psi obviously; but you don’t get an airbag bounce when driving. You can take up to 200psi to firm them up but without any weight the back jumps a little when hitting potholes on low profile tires and rollpan bumper (light) which is to be expected.

    How did u get your campper alignment done ?

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Camber alignment? Or Toe in toe out? If it’s an identical factory part your replacing you can count threads on the tie rod area and match. You can also take a measurement before disassembling off a fixed known location. For camber, there are eccentric bolt washers on the upper A arms (control arm) with identification marks you can rematch. I only do this to allow me to drive until I can get an alignment. There’s a few ways to get you in the ballpark but unless you have an alignment machine your tires will wear faster (prematurely) than a perfect alignment. I always recommend getting the alignment done after replacing parts related to alignment; it’s cheaper than tires. Alignments are usually $60-$120 in my area of California, I tend to spend $80 when I do alignments with new tire purchases. Given, Tires last me 5+ years and it’s a good sanity routine that tells me if any suspension parts need replacing (they can’t do the alignment when ball joints are wore).

      Yea I’ve had a small accident on my c1500 my front driver ball joint left the chat wile I was going down the road but I did all the front end my self including tierods,upper and lower control arms and bushings . But after I replaced my upper control arms my tires on the outside walls are like tipping in .”Note I am on a 4inch level kit but it shouldn’t be off like that did I not center the camber rite ? The ring adjusters “… also when I put it on reverse my steering stays straight but my tires seem to squat inner wise like if the tire is loose ? I’m lost could it be the Camper adjusters ? Orr idk I’m in the ends .

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RAMIROGONZALEZ-tj2fx I have mine dropped 2” on spindles in the front with everything “stock” and 6” in the back shackles and hangers. If you put new control arms and the wheels lean in at the top then the camber needs adjusting. If the tires turn out or in when looking at it from the front the tie rod need adjusting. If you do all this and still looks way off especially on the accident side, then the accident could’ve bent the frame, tabs, spindle, rims, etc. Jackie it up from the frame and wiggle the tire to see if you have any play or loose bolts, it should be firm. Also, the front fender can play an illusion because it curves. If you drive it and it pulls to one side, squeak like tires or pops when backing out of a driveway at full steering turn; you’re alignment is way off

      If it’s always random and mild, when you have a full tank or fill up It could also be the gas cap not sealing or the vent near the gas cap (all cars). But yes, definitely double check the fuel pump for piece of mind either way.

      Yeah, I realized after recording it, GoPro 3 years ago didn’t do well. I thought by having my back to the lit area, it would allow everything to display nicely but it didn’t. I realized the video wasn’t worth redoing because I hadn’t put heavy use to them so I figured I’d redeem it eventually. Meanwhile I also wanted people to know what to keep in mind before potentially wasting their money on these (hatchet version also) if they want something more than a novelty.

    Would a 21700 wrap be too wide for a 18650 protected (they’re longer) battery?

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not 💯% but I’d say it won’t normally work because my Tesla 18650 batteries were too thick for this wrap. I think Tesla has a coating over them. It could also depend on your wrap brand. Also, don’t use rubberized heat shrink, it won’t fit in device due to the slight thickness increase. Average battery size (can change if it’s a flat top or nub) 18650: 18mm diameter x 65mm length 21700: 21mm diameter x 70mm length

      @@ProjectAnubisUSA Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me. I use the battery for a torch and I am planning on using a regular wrap (not a rubberised one). It's a 18650 battery but it's the height of a 21700: 18mm diameter x 70mm length So, do you think a normal 21700 wrap would work or would it be too big?

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@orangesquidge ohh, it’s a special size similar to how olight does. they have some weird proprietary batteries for their high powered flashlights. Some have chips on the top end and some even have double positive rings. The length is definitely needed if yours has disc on each side to hold in place as it wraps around the ends. Depending on the wrap quality, heat shrink has a shrink ratio 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 etc… I recommend looking to see or contact the wrap supplier to ask the shrink ratio. I think it would shrink 1/16 per side 1/8” total but it might distort your graphic. Also heat build up is a concern to make it shrink. Lastly, I’d be concerned about what’s underneath the end cap that makes it that long, you wouldn’t want to short it out nor potentially harm an electronic if any is under…. I recommend looking to see the shrink ratio of the 21700 battery wrap and see if you can find an image of what’s under that particular battery you have, even reaching out to the manufacturer. patents might also show a vague visual if they have one on public patent records.

    Update: Water pump not working/ spinning: Take apart the cover and lube the shaft, remove base impeller cover and spin impeller. Calcium and rust has built up on the shaft and keeps it locked up. Vibration and sound from the cooler: Tighten up all bolts on the motor and tension the belt. The cage fins might be loose or broken causing a rattle which would need welding of some sort. JB Weld might work, use minimal amount to keep everything balanced

      I haven’t ran it with anything heavy very long such as the line fed 48/3000 tank. I’ve been running a FS 15/4500 stock mount since that advancement came out. So, technically no issues on my light use but I can’t really say. If you’re hard on your gear (military care) I recommend getting heavier cordura 1000d or dual pane. I like stiffness because it feels more supported and stout; multi stitch, dual pane, 500d+. keep an eye out because I’ve noticed china does has a lot of random single pane 350d - “500d”on a lot of stuff to save costs. Another key component is the zipper, make sure they are larger YKK, it helps keep the material from snagging and zipper from derailing.

    Thanks for this video. I've just done mine and would add that when you pull the cover off the filter drops down. That's because the tabs behind the cover go under the filter and lift it up into position. If you don't get that right those tabs will crush the new filter. As you pointed out, there are guides at the back, either side, to lift the filter up as it goes in. The front gets a lift up with those tapered tabs so you must make sure the filter is on top of them before you push it home.
