Thanks for this video. I went to Lombok in 1987 with a guy I met on the plane. We didnt see another tourist the whole time we were there. Biking around the island with surfboards we finally arrived at banko banko and walked to desert point . That wave didnt even have a name yet. It was just a rumour. Sleeping on the beach we ran out of food and water . My mate got malaria and I nearly died of thirst or it seemed to me anyway, walking back to banko banko village to our bikes. That hill you sat on watching the sunset , I did the same. I wonder if all the goats are still there. We slept in a grass hut on the beach. The locals fed us rice and veg. We surfed the peak in the bay. That other bay with the crowd and a number of set ups I surfed on my own with a lone buffalo as the only thing there. When coming into villages for the first time if the kids ran from us then the whole village would run and avoid us but if the kids go excited ( like they do) and crowd around then the whole village would come out and offer us food plus extremely strong coffee. Then a hut to stay. Sorry to ramble on .Such great memories your video brought back to me ,so thank you.😊

It was interesting to watch a video of Western folk pursuing a spiritual life in Nepal while many of my friends and work colleagues in Australia are Nepalese immigrants happily pursuing a material life. 😂 As to the meaning of life, there is no meaning as such. We have the power and free will to create our own meaning 🙏
